Can we have fluctuating mineral market prices?

 When was the last time mineral market prices changed?
What if they changed daily based on the supply-and-demand of the minerals? I suppose the GTC will allow for the fluctuation of their prices, will it? When WILL it open, anyway? Been mentioned frequently recently, personally I don't like the idea. I like how the prices are set, even if it's not lifelike. For the simple reason that I don't want to have to stop and wait for the prices to go up to sell my minerals for optimum value, I want to sell them straight away, as and when I get them. The GTC will allow for the fluctuation of the value of artifacts not minerals themselves, although I suppose you could see it that way. The GTC wil apparently be opening soon, right now it's in testing, or so Dan says in his 'Coming Soon' thread.
