Hey I was thinking what if instead of making the leader board bigger like I have read in other places we just make is so it shows the top eight like it does now as well as your own rank in each section. So, unless you are all ready in the top eight, at the bottom of the page it will show your name and what your rank is in that section. That way you can see where you are in comparison with the top eight. I would be interested to know how close I am to the number eight spot on the research board for example and I think it would be nice to see what ranking I am at right now.

Not sure if you mean the individual or Legion leader board. If you mean individual, that sounds fine, I don't dislike the idea though I'm not that excited about it either, wouldn't really make a difference to me.

As for the Legion leader board, I would prefer if it was expanded or you could sort Legions based on their rank or power. The idea for me isn't seeing where I am but being able to see more of the good Legions, which would help people find one to join and give us an idea of which Legions are powerful besides the really well known ones.

Why not do both Mojo? Expand the leader board to say 20 or 25 AND put the individual's ranking down below... Either one would require a code modification, so why not kill 2 birds?

That could work I was just trying to throw something new out there. lol Also ferrus ya I did mean both but mine is on both of the legion boards so I couldn't make and exp. for that. I think a lot of the smaller legions would love it though.

Yeah, it is a good idea Mojo, I just wouldn't want it instead of extending the leader board, but having it as well would be cool.

lol ya but think of it this way. The smaller you are the faster you are going to grow in the ranks. So you will be able to see yourself go up with each new thing you do. Some one like me who is at the top of most of them won't be able to see that. I will be stuck on the same ranking for a long time waiting to go up. lol

Not when boneheads get online for 2 minutes and disable an NPC that they're not even on the goody list for when you have -1 core and 4 relays installed causing you to level with only 43% of your full energy availability...

I think this has beed suggested before, maybe even by me, but I like the idea of an annual list or date started list better. Let's face it, unless they just quit playing, the top 8 are not going to change. They may move around a bit, but the board currently favors play who started before some others. I don't care how AU looks in comparison to the top 8 or 10 or 20. But, how do we stack up against another legion formed when we were or another legion of similar rank? Are we number 1 in that sub catagory? That becomes a goal for newer players to shoot for. Also Dan, I would still love to see a leaderboard that reflected defensive skills. Who are the top undefeated players? Or players with fewest deaths per every 20 ranks or so?
Who has managed to survive more attacks in this harsh galaxy? Yet another goal to play for...

It is easy to get on the boards if you are trying. I played for about 4 months before I decided to get on the board. Now I am fighting to stay on the raids board, with mostly my own legion though, who are also half the top killers as well.

However, I like the idea of being able to see where you stand vs. others.

I thought we were talking about the legion boards... those are NOT easy to get on. But yes, the individual leaderboards are all about personal time and effort. I too make it a goal and got to number 2 so far! However, unless the Dysonsians chose to quit, disband or just rename themselves, they will always be in the top 8 and likely number 1. Thus, newer legions have nothing to shoot for in that sense. Now if you could be number 1 legion that started this summer or next winter, that would be cool.
