If Dan really wanted to be awkward he could maybe add a timer in so that players are required to be Facebook friends for a week before being able to send items

It's only been a few days since GTC come out, many items in GTC are already like 5+ times their value. They just list it there in hoping that someone read the digits wrong and make a mistake to buy it. I think the tariff setup is flawed. It will be much more efficient by reducing the sale tax, and add in listing fee like most real MMOs.

The sale tax should be reduced from 20% to 10%.
For the current auction listing duration(2hrs, 12hrs, 24hrs), the listing fee should be like:
2 hours auction listing fee: 3%
12 hours auction listing fee: 6%
24 hours auction listing fee: 10%

lets not make this anymore like a mock of ebay

Would this listing fee be a percentage of asking price or sale price? It would eliminate the overpriced listings if you had to pay a percentage up front, and it would act as a penalty if the item did not sell at all

Listing fee is always the asking price, the purpose to lessen all those way over priced items.

the prices are comming down... i had gotten 187,990,440 for 10 CPT now I got 12,000,000 for 20CTP

yeah i noticed that. CTP that i could've easily sold for over 10billion the first day the GTC came out is now selling for way less

I would suggest that add a 'Watch Item' feature that would give you an accurate count down on how long an item has left before ending.

At present its very hard for smaller players to have a chance to win a bid because after the 1minute mark we dont know how longs left and keep getting outbid. This way we would be able to see exactly when an auction is going to end so we know how long we have left to bid.

just get a digital clock with seconds (or an analog clock if you know how to read one) and watch as the timer ticks over from 2 mins down to 1 minute. that will give you 2 minutes to time your last second snipe bid, while refreshing constantly to check if there are multiple other bidders interested.

an anti-snipe time extension would be *much* more welcome than a countdown timer with seconds that just makes things that much easier for the snipers (of which i am one).

If they resort to sniping, they are not exactly "big players"
Real big players can bid high enough such that you dont wanna even try any more even if there is time left.... Your reason and ur conclusion does not relate to each other
