I looked through the FAQs and begginner forum and didnt see this question
How can you contact people directly in game?
So far the only way I can is if I see their name higlighted on my "news" page.

you can communicate with anybody on your Log and anybody on you battle page. those comms cost 5 energy every time. If you are in a legion, you can use comm members individually for 5 energy or use the Legion Chat at the bottom of the screen.

If you are not in a legion, you might want to consider Warp Fleet... (shameless plug)

Ok, so just because I'm kinda dense about all things computer,
How did CyBriBot put a message on my log, but his name is not clickable to send him a message?
Part of his message to me was a potential invite to his legion, but no matter what I do, I cant find a way to contact him.
I've asked his league mates to have him contact me, but none of them respond, so I dont know if they are or not. (probably because of the planetary dispute that needs to be settled before any joining can be discussed)
(yeah, I get a little verbose, can you tell?)

Now, about that shameless plug, will you guys help me get my planet back and convince Galactic Science that it belongs to me and they should look elsewhere?

You were probably on his battle tab, he saw you weren't in a Legion and left you the message. I do that whenever I can.

well if he left you the name of the legion you can go to the legion window, and since your not in a legion, it will have a "find legion button" that you can click on. click that, then in the next window at the bottom, type in the name of the legion if he left it to you. If it brings it up, hit the 'request legion invite' button.

Depends... If you are interested in working as a team, communicating, sharing and all, and continuing into the future as an active member then please join us, no matter what rank you are. I'm sure some members would help you out your planet.

But if your sole motivation for joining is the recapture of the planet, then I would have to say no. We're not mercenaries.
