why would anyone refund for a failed invasion ? the payment is for access to the planet SCAN, not the planet itself.

the problematic condition is the payment in advance before alert.

there is always a 10% you fail, if there is no backup to take the planet with a secnd try a lot of people give a % refund
and yeah , payment before alert & 15 posts

The big thing is having to come to him, and no doubt his sab's would cost extra. Many people may buy planets with the seller coming to them that way if they fail the legion can alert as ffa, if the guy is online there legion can fight for the planet. Going to anothers legion you risk a lot and dont have any back up. I think that's why no one is bidding. Also 800 CTP for this kinda planet enemy owned is over priced, maybe if u came to you , but as is not worth the risk.

I've already talked to my sabs. They'll do that part for free.

You're asking people to take a gamble which they shouldn't have to when BUYING PLANETS. They are not buying the scan share, they are buying the planet. By saying that you won't offer refunds, you're essentially saying that the buyer accepts the fact that there's a 1/10 chance that their sale and their resources are lost entirely while you profit no matter what. This is bad business and kind of a jerk move. I hope anyone buying from you sees this.

not to mention the people who will have a 90% dont need the planet. people who would need to buy a toxic probably wouldn't have enough attack to have a very good chance against that planet. and given the price people will make you toxics (some not all that much higher than your minimum) the fact that they would probably have to either temp flux or use a pflux on the planet also adds to the cost making yours not worth it.

You pay for the share . Thats why selling enemy owned planets are CHEAPER then unowned. some times its worth the gamble. There is nothing wrong with what he is doing. I think he has done it in a bad way he should go to them . But as for selling emeny owned planets if you cant take it then sucks to be you. It's why you ave him come to you so a legion mate can get it. Also being enemy owned it should be a bit cheaper is it is a gamble.

And YES you pay for the share not the planet. If you cant take it why is it his problem ?
It's not a jerk move nor is it bad business.

Trying to get people to come to you on it is a bad move , but thats it. the price is a bit high to .

ill argue and say your paying for the SCAN only, if you fail and the owner is active, the seller doesnt have a good chance of being able to sell it again, since ANYONE who has a planet attacked, should be bricking it as well as they can, unless they dont care for the loss.
I would also say 25% refund should be given.. for the loss of loyalty and inconvenience.

IMO you are paying for the PLANET and not the SCAN SHARE, as some of you are suggesting. Why anyone would even think of paying for the "chance" at a successful invasion is beyond me and just seems stupid.

A "smart" enemy planet seller does the following.

Does not equivocate on the "Come To Me" idea behind planet selling. It must always be come to the seller of the planet, that way you can have as many buyers come to you as space in your legion will allow.

Invite at least the 3 highest bidders(more if your legion space allows it) to come to your legion. They each try one after the other, whomever is successful is the one who pays for the planet.

You shouldn't leave your legion and go to another to sell the planet ever. This gives the owner of the planet your selling, an extra 7 days to flux probe their planets, and potentially temp flux(or hard flux) the planet from your scans.

problem here being though if im not first in line im not gonna go. (not that i ever leave anyways) I wouldnt want to go be the second to invade but the first guy gets it, so my loyalty is gone for nothing.

Its always a gamble when dealing with enemy owned planets, thats why they tend to be cheaper.
