its pretty expensive to finish without knowing what it does. ive seen it on someones ship already so i figure it is special but not sure if its worth the 2200 energy it costs...can some one post what effect it has , size and the rest?

I think its a nice weapon for low to med ranks. Here are the stats

+30 attack power/twice as much for planet invasions
10 size
sell for 100k

as for the next reward after the mech i think it's this one

thrust stabiliser +10defense/+30 hull and takes no space


thats about as far as i got atm with 18 completed missions

Which mission is the one where you get the psionic amplifier? I've seen one person that has it, but don't know which mission it is where you get it.

"Harnessing the weapon". If you don't have it, perhaps you need more rank.

there is also a pre-mission called something like "strange device". so if you don't have the "harnessing the weapon" mission, try looking for the one before it.
