I thought they left the legion, removed defence and then someone else invaded it?

Hey, I'll have you know that I held Exotica for two weeks when I took it, and Remric did the same. Abandoning it repeatedly is a cheap, exploitive strategy. That said, it's also the best. There's no reason to play fair, and Dan doesn't seem to care that the planet is a joke now.

Soon they'll all have the medal and you can go back to stealing it off of each other.

Abandoning does make the planet and medal useless. Especially if you colonize it as a Xecti Fixer while Halc'd up, too OP imo. +1 for the suggestion.

How many Assimilation Loci and Protean Armories have been bought with football badges?
How many Xecti Governors have been paid off?
How many shared planets have been passed back and forth for Lone Conquerer?
How many Research Points have people spent in completely unaffiliated legions for the Wisdom and Eureka medals?

There is nothing within the game rules that stop those equally "sneaky and underhanded" tactics so why should Exotica be any different? In fact, everyone seems to ENCOURAGE those... As someone else said in another thread about this... If you don't like it, step in and take Exotica yourself. Just like has been done several times already. Since the medal came out, I know of The Dysonians, GP, LoI, THB all having the planet. TU had it for a night due to extenuating circumstances. Hell, even TC had it for a few seconds.

So what happens if you can't abandon it? Simple... Two allied legions are going to pass it back and forth. The only way to stop THAT would be to put restrictions on it that completely restrict "legitimate" battles for the Great Purple Turd.

I prefer to keep track of the ones that get zeroed because they think it's cool to play pinball on our 15x planets when they get caught trying to take them.

I figured it was something like that when I typed it, but yeah we've never done that, we tend to keep away from alerts unless they're for a good reason.

On the bright side with every thing going on in the game with the way ppl do things I no longer feel bad about being a total Jack Azz to others. I'm starting to enjoy it alot!
