Greeting the Vox: 2 completions
A few days ago a pre-galactic race known as the Vox have finally developed a successful interplanetary engine. The Galactic Council is asking for you specifically to welcome them and host the celebration on your ship. They have provided the materials to construct the rooms for your guests.
Reward: Diplomat Suite (module, provides defense and hull)

Party Crashers: 1 completion
On route to your ship the Vox diplomats have gone missing. As the closest ship to the distress beacon it is your duty as the host to search for them. Track down the signal and find whoever did this.
Reward: unlock Dark Omen mission

Dark Omen: 5 completions
You reach the beacon only to find the entire ship gone, the beacon floating innocently in space. Scanners detect warp signatures of Dark Smuggler ships heading through the sector, perhaps finding them will give clues as to the whereabouts of the Vox diplomats.
Reward: Veiled Data Transport (battle, when defeated gives Smuggler's Data Bunker); Smuggler's Data Bunker is a size 2 building (1 per planet) that grants +2 research and +50 defense

Searching the Outsiders: 4 completions
Although the Smuggler ships were not responsible for the kidnapping, their server cache shows the location of a few Terran Outsider bases holding prisoners fitting the description of the Vox. Strangely the server cache holds programing based on Drannik protocols. What are they doing with Drannik technology?
Reward: Shielded Prisoner Chambers (module, provides shield and hull)

A Path of Crimson: 3 completions
You find the Terran Outsider bases in ruins, with obvious signs of weaponry used by the Crimson Blades. You can track them easily, but the task of finding the Vox diplomats is becoming quite a mystery. A closer scan of the wreckages show the prison sectors based on Stryll structures. So many questions...
Reward: Crimson Havoc (battle, when defeated gives Battle Assist Computer); the Battle Assist Computer is a module that gives attack and scan)

Sphere of Influence: 1 completion
Now you find Sha'din digital systems in Crimson ships. Their mercenary logs reveal that the Vox were to be delivered to a man named Asran in a remote sector deemed inhospitable by sentient life. A quick adaption to your shields will help you get through. You have to get to the source of the problem soon, or you might never find the diplomats alive.
Reward: Radiation Harmonizer (module, provides shield charge and cloak)

Intelligence Revealed: 10 completions
As you approach the coordinates, you find a Dyson built unlike anything you have seen before. Pieced together with the technology from multiple nations, it is swarming with enemy ships. Your scan reveals a strange flagship holding the Vox diplomats hostage. They are alive, but you will have to fight to bring them back. Battle systems are charged, ready for your orders.
Risk: Crimson Counterattack (moderate damage, uncommon), Sha'din Virus (-20% to defense, uncommon), Stryll Net (-20% to attack, uncommon)
Reward: Enemy Defender (battle, spawns a random uncommon NPC in the battle tab that must be defeated before the mission can be continued)

The Council's Reward: 1 completion
As you approach the flagship for a final showdown, the ship and the Dyson flux, gone from your scans. You manage to pick up 2 life signs, on a single escape pod the enemy jettisoned before disappearing. The Vox diplomats were found alive and well, with no memory of what happened after their ship was attacked. Many questions are left unanswered, but the Council wants to award you a special accommodation for your heroic deeds.
Reward: Vassal Estate (building, size 2, that grants +1 to all resources and +200 population)

The Vox: A race of Bat-like organisms, they live in a caste system based on the color of their wings, with the rarer blue color is deemed royalty and the common yellow provides most of their workforce (and many other colors exist). Only recently have they developed interplanetary drives. With their over-specialization in electromagnetic technology, they have had many difficulties catching up to the other space faring races, but they have developed strange devices that some believe to be supernatural in origin.
Racial ability: Scalar Assault, can lower the attack and defense of an enemy player or NPC by 15% once a day.

Edit: added a hint into one of the missions with a few description changes.

+10!!

nice! i like it. i would also like an option to be another 'cool' lookign race. the inergons were the creepiest/coolest in my opinion, but i would love to be a man-bat! and the rewards sound pretty sweet too!

This one is the best yet Zophah! I like how long it is, although I think it gives a few too many modules. I don't think people would have enough room on their ships. Although, yes I do really like this one. I should stick up my own mission chains.

P.S-I did actually see you on my NPC tab on the battles page.

Oh gawd I love this idea.
however, only using the ability once a day is a bit weak. I propose for every 100 the the limit on the ability you can use increase by 1.

you can never have too many mission modules. thats the main reason i do missions. if theres no hope of getting a module at some point in the mission chain then i just stick to fighting NPCs.

True...I love mission modules, although it is annoying when I don't have enough space for the 10 modules you wanted to add.

I actually planned it as the beginning of a long line of missions, all leading up to the epic reveal...

it took me 30 levels to install all the mission rewards and NPC drops i got while doing the latest stryll missions, and im still happy i got all those modules. its kinda fun to being back to installing researched stuff, but knowing i had modules to install allowed me to go beyond what i had initially intended in energy research. i really hope dan sees this mission chain because it looks really cool. the modules would really help too, as since i am finally finished installing drops, im back to just upgrading my cannons.

Well can you give us the epic reveal soon...although Zophah, you have inspired me to make up my own saga. I'll stick up sometime soon.

A few notes on how I made this:
1. I tried to have the mission names unique, such as the Dark Smuggler's mission called "Dark Omen" and the Crimson Blades' mission "A Path of Crimson". But my favorite title was the mission that leads to the Dyson: "Sphere of Influence" (did you get the wordplay?)
2. The hardest part was finding mission rewards that merged the technologies of different organizations. (the most difficult was merging the Crimson and Sha'din)
3. Just like all other mission chains I created, it was all inspired around a single aspect. The Vox was the star of this chain.
4. I thought of the Vox ability "Scalar Assault" based around the Scalar Weapon from Battlefield Bad Company 2.

Oh, and I call this mission chain "Secrets and Beginnings" as part 1 of my saga (to be named later).

And lastly a little hint about future missions in this saga:

Hmm. Sounds cool. Although, if you're interested, I have put up my own saga.

Here is an overview of the Zophah Saga that I will be creating the rest of:

Part 1: "Secrets and Beginnings"
Part 2: “The Calm Before the Storm”
Part 3: “Fears Awakened”
Part 4: “Starlight”

I will finish part 2 sometime in the next few weeks. Part 1 is above.

I like this idea I like modules to so hey. I would add that when searching you have to subdued so many npc to get there scanning info not your total npcs but how many you do from beginning the mission a counter that starts at what you got at the start and ends when you do so many.
