I love this for the next weapon tech which if you look is the only one that doesn't use adi. yet when making. So we do need a new one here. There are many other post's out there that mention techs in detail as well. If you want me to find some and post them let me know and I will.

For those not wanting more scan or cloak, planets should always have a chance of being found. If you can steel a planet from a low level player then a higher level player with more scan should be able to steal one from you. (There is a reason some planets can now be invincible) (Also new tiers in cloaking could just start giving a % bonus along with the cloak, and player ships would get more cloak from cloaking going up and as long as scanning went up with it what is the problem?)It would be nice to have planets that had buildings that had invasion def. mods on them, or other bonuses as well as production. I would rather they be research then npc drops and would like them to have high costs all around. Also you should always want to go back and upgrade all your planets, it keeps life interesting if you have to keep checking on them just like a real world situation.

Like: (sizes are just for show could be more or less)
Underground city: size 20 artifact 18, cloak 500
Refined Hyper Warp Gate: size 20 all resources +5, pop +200 (maybe make this a lab build instead or research to unlock a possible lab build)
Resistance Mine: size 20 mining 16, max invasion chance = 75%
Mad Scientist's Lair: size 20 research, 15% planetary atk, 5% plantary def, -5% population
Hyper Hacking Enabled Stealth Satellites:Size 15, 5% more cloaking, if planet is scanned has a 20% chance to be unscanned.
(extra def. against people scanning the planet if they might still miss it)
Universal News Agency Base: Size 5, If planet is scanned has a 75% chance to notify planet's Owner. (Something to help the level 4,000+ person that has 1,000 planets owned, Not sure if anyone is there but someone will be at sometime, maybe make one that has 100% chance of notifying the planets owner so those of us that are lazy don't have to keep going back and flux probing and other stuff, there is already a limited number trap that does this)

As for names for any tiers you can always use the words: Hyper, Super, Mega, Superior, Refined, Upgraded, Alien, Unknown.
Or for more scientific sounding ones pull a few planet names out of the planet name generator...

Descriptions for research could be along the lines of:
Made by taking a star, passing it trough a warp drive inducer and funneling it into a magnetically shielded 5th dimensional array. In the process it is split and reassembled with extra matter being found afterwards.
OR:
Taking two(or more) massive stars, crushing them down into the size of a small planet (or city, or other small object) and then siphoning power off of them through complex equations we are able to create new machines, to better fuel our planet's productions. (This would go along with a second research about Start lifting as the first one would only use 1 massive star, would also explain why there are planets with no stars out there...)

But destroying stars will also destroy the planets orbiting them.

Some stars don't have planets orbiting them, also who is to say you can't make a star with a new tech as well?

Star Lifting Research: "An evolution of stellar technology that allows the lifting (extraction) and transformation of matter directly from a star. Star Lifting can provide a massive amount of production to its host planets."

If you take enough matter out of a star you also destroy it... so its already allowed to some extent. Since we already have a Supernova Generator as well: "Harnessing the massive power of stellar creation and destruction, focused within the control of a single reactor" it is just a few steps above that. You are basically cramming several Supernovas into a single reactor and managing to control it to siphon power from the reaction.

I don't know what to do, AP gives energy too, there has to be something unique.
