Is the original poster able to change the thread title? If so, would you please do so. Something fitting.... and then copy your initial declaration onto yet a new thread if you don't mind. That way this string could evolve on its own and cease sullying your original intent.

I managed to grab a shot of the downed Oggie ship and he was a real jerk about it too.

Barring extreme exceptions (such as shield restoring rate exceeding damage taken in frequency). Anyone can be brought down. Anyone. It's no great feat to simply (or maybe not so simply...) drop a player. I have about 9x the levels of Titanic - but given enough repair-ability and patience on her part... and assuming her damage > than my shield regen - she could drop me.)

Of greater import is that player gets up, dusts off, and jumps back into the fray. Warning though - this will not generally be when a another would prefer or when it's most convenient.

moejoe69 used to be in Talon company but was kicked for trying to start wars, then he tried to get other legions to war against us for kicking him. why anyone would want him is beyond me.

But he was part of DoO and he did his part given the rank that he was 315 in fact he tried hard to put up a fight by debuffing some of our players and attacking while the higher ranks attacked us..
However did not work out for him cause the rest of them would just sit disabled and wait to hit us while we were afk..

I guess he felt that he did not get the support back when he need it since the higher ranks they always sat disabled..

Im just guessing here.. not sure exactly what took place..

Anyways he is in a much better legion CoT and I hope it works out for him..

He exercised poor judgement and insisted on attacks during times that were not so opportune. He gets props for making sure alerts were kept alive but less so because he wanted immediate fight response to each alert. Each of his alerts were cry out complaints that he was being attacked.

Now - I'm not suggesting the alerts need any great spelling or explanations associated with them, really - as long as an accurate idea can be conveyed, that ought to be sufficient. Pretty much everybody else realizes and understands that the alerts WILL be responded to and if not in immediate force then harrying sorties. Sometimes players post to the target's comms, sometimes they post hits in legion comm, but to the best of my knowledge it is accepted and assumed that the alert will get hit. (There is but one alerted target that comes to mind as an exception to this regular standard)

Back to the start, our former mate was great at keeping you alerted. Unfortunately each alert came across as a panic and if he did not feel satisfied with a sufficiently fast response his anxiety increased. It was also as if he just could not see in the legion comm where his alerts WERE getting hit. About 10-15min after his last alert, he made his:

There are players even lower than he that also hit back at GS and were calm and collected about it. Doing their parts and having faith that their alerts are answered - perhaps not the second they post, but answered and multiple times for the duration of it - and they don't typically get freaky just because someone masse hacks/ raids them. Moe had different expectations and hovered in ire. Props to him for the alerts and props to him for working to keep on your log. However, initial spirit aside, perhaps he should have allowed himself to lose a place in your log Junior.

Back to this one: per likely alerts back on the GS side, I am quite willing to accept this number of targets on DOO's end. This is in stark contrast to the 3-5 (estimate) that happen to get hit by DOO members. The only ones that, for the most part I recall seeing in log are:
Junior
Kztrll9
Tilly
Capnjack
Angel25

I'm not suggesting that others haven't, just that those names stand out certainly. So - with about 3-5 (Junior, Kztrll9 and Capnjack being regular alerts) that can be located- the separate pickings are slim. With the faithful following of DOO making log appearances, 17 is a reasonable estimate. I too pick my times and make my rounds.

But complaining when ships happen to remain disabled? There is no obligation to making sure ships are up as skeet. Players repair at their desire, not at other's demands (or requests... depends on one's comm msg and mood of course).


Now - the alleged olive branches of peace? Well... each time they have included demands/ jabs/ haughty remarks. That sirs is no way to make peace. I accept that DOO were the initial aggressors vs Angel25. My personal habit is that I typically purge a planet I gift. Sometimes I take longer to get to purging (and even a few times this ends up being an opportunity to remind them to build....!) but it is what I choose to do.

There are vast numbers of other players that disagree and opt to keep the scan 'just in case' which can include any reason anyone wants to set behind. Most incredible of all: neither perceptions is more wrong or more right than the other. To whomever alerted a planet for another - it is up to them to decide if they'll purge or salivate and perhaps even take it at any point in the future.

I do not agree with this, but I also would not stand in the way of this. Each player has their own point of view and code and I can disagree while continuing to respect that that person is another player.

There is no need for lower ranks to leave legions just because they got caught in something they don't understand how it works and get all debuff happy for the higher ranks to capitalize which we did pay attention and addressed it appropriately right away..

Over all good fight on both sides even do a great number of your members have shown a interest in to the war in the first 24 hours and our side was only 2 of us.. My Self and KZ9 and recently couple of more joined ( they felt left out cause we were hogging all the fun and told them not to get involved till we deal first with attention craving ppl and heaving some type of useless point to prove thinking their much higher ranking legion mates would bail them out)..

All I have done for the past 4 days is attack anyone in my logs, alerted and with a great resource ppl finder such as BT and I have been very active on it. Potty mouth ppl were seek-ed and pounded in silence since we can block players comms..

Oggie, we would not attack anyone in our logs that has not been active towards us for the past 24 hours..We assume they would like to move on to better things that this game has to offer and we would respect that..

Copy that, and I suspect some will appreciate this. But wholly not needed.
Most understand that they are at risk for the duration of the ship log and they reset this with each counter action.

In fact I know that some of our peeps happened to get struck even as they were specifically hunting for GS via battle tab.
They'd not yet mired themselves in the conflict but accepted when they were hit anyway.

Know that, even if some period passes and I happen to fall off a log or two, no thought need be given that I've ceased - only that I am otherwise occupied. Feel free to bash me about and even in chain if you wish. Although, please consider leaving buffs be - I might even be base hitting, or npcing, etc at that moment.

I will behave with the same courtesy - I generally wait out buffs rather than CM (excepting when I'm CM'd first). I prefer to respect the buffs set up by others and find ways to work around them. Be it with temporary debuffs or waiting them out. Not everyone feels this way and choose to use any means - I may not like this, but it is what it is.

When someone makes demands or seeks to command an action of me, it typically results with the opposite happening. So I instead prefer to ask as I would wish to be asked - all the while recognizing it remains up to the other if they opt to comply or not.
In fact - it was the initial comm demands and remarks that were part of how matters flamed up. Each olive branch consisted of a thorn or jab that stoked ire. Even so - I think we've all been having some fun - well most... and there are certainly stories to regale.

They fine, we have no probs sitting disabled, some of us are even set up so our legion cannot repair us.

my medal and hacking count is maxed out daily and a big tnx to the GTC there is plenty of tm's to go around

I guess every legion has their own strategy to fight a war, sometimes they even lose members cause that strategy not working and eventually the other members will lose an interest in that legion:D

Members ought to be periodically running online to repair and be skeet, solely because you want them to?
Past wars have included Project Anarchy; Republic of Orion... I know there've been past between 1 and 3 other legions, but right now the names elude me. DOO is no stranger to pvp "We frequently gets our hands dirty in pvp" the first line in the legion description. While you do receive attention from us, you are not any kind of solitary focus. Badging still continues, base attacks continue, planet grabs and planet defense goes on.

This 'sustained conflict', having been labeled a 'war' will not progress by any parameters you try to set or select.

By the way: What is it with this constant flag of 'weaker legion'? You've opted to face us and it is sustained. That is respected as peer and not 'lesser' as you seem to wish to convey. Board rankings are based on a sum of levels and a sum of ship strength, that is it. Based on your word choices, ought I see Empire of the Sun as 'lesser' because they are 'lower' in a board for the moment? Should I see Red Dwarf or Talon Company or SCION as beneath us? Not going to happen. You're members of just another legion mate.

There is no need for this legion self-depreciation. Take pride in the facing no matter what legion you opt to fight. Be they Honey Badgers or Darkside or Ninja Pirates or DOO. Rise and face the challenge you've accepted rather than pointing to yourself with such frequency and citing 'oh and we're the weaker legion'.

You gleefully share how many of us you face. Well, to do that, you have to have access to our members which means that our members maintain an active presence in your alerts and on your logs.

That's as active as you've decided to be for the most part. You are 'two holding against the masses', you're two that are willing to show up. You get in your hits, we get in ours, there are more of us showing. At this point am I supposed to chide or seek to berate your other 48 members? No, I won't. I'll respect that many opt not to get involved, such is their choice, and one I well respect. Our mean level is higher, aye, but as some of even our own lower level players have already well proven to you directly - we can all be taken down.

In my 2 years play time I have nvr seen a pvp the way DoO plays it.. But it is what it is..

I think we are gonna move on the main point was achieved on our end, which we got you guys to lay off from Angel25 cause he left ur legion and you guys were not pleased with that that's why this whole conflict was about in a first place..

To be honest I have no problems with any of you guys...I wish you well and good hunts...
