First off, great ideas, i like them, all of them.
Secondly, I think something insanely powerful(think shields and hull in the millions) with massive attacks, and a very long time to kill(maybe a week or so) could be interesting.
Also something that could give out 2 or more rewards per person, if that is even possible.
Here is an example of how that would look:
T.O. <something-something> (i'm to lazy to think of a real name) Rank 800 Base NPC. Extremely Rare.
2650000 Shields (2,65 Mill) 1600000 Hull (1,6 Mill)
(numbers can be adjusted to what would fit in the game)
Enemy Type Boss 15 (or so, details need work) Rewards: 2 each up to 15 Abilities: T.O. shield remover. (completely removes shields of attacker - very rare) T.O. Defuser. (Decreases enemy attack by 50% for 20 minutes.) Attack: 28000 Defense: 22000 Cloak: 2500 share-able to legion members above rank (500?) this enemy expires in 168 hours (thats one week)
rewards: 25% - T.O. Proton Shield: ship module. 26 size 420 shield. (limit 2) - would replace T.O Shield generators. 25% - T.O. Planetary Barrier: planet Structure. 2 size 1800 defense. 50% - Optimal Barricade: planet effect. increases passive defense of a planet by 200. no maximum limit.
Potential for more than one reward per participant. (possibly top 3 Damagers get 2 rewards each?)
I admit, some of the details need a bit of work, but i think its a good concept. Thoughts?

yeah, sharing it via battle pact could be available, there could also be other rewards and numbers(atk/def/shields/etc) could be adjusted. That was just a rough estimate of how it might look, a basic concept. Also, i imagine, with it taking a week, and the amount of damage needed, the experience should be pretty high. But like i said, the details need work.

imma give this a bump, as its been 5 months and just one new NPC Base has been introduced since. I figure in that time, at least 1k player will have entered into ranks where they'd like to see more of these introduced. We'll gladly settle for one new NPC every month or two.

I kind of liked the Dysonian's April Fool's Day prank boss, although something like that might still be a bit too strong for the general public right now.

Shorter times just mean fewer people in the less active Legions will be able to get on them at all, I hate that they Hyperport only has a day, definitely don't make it less.

I agree 24 hour timer is freaken lame. And I would like to see bigger better NPc, but ones that are worth it. I would not even care to hit a hyper port if not for my legion needing the drops. shoot we had 3 in 24 hours they've become annoying the only good drop left is the base one and that very hard to get. the planet mod is worth less at this point not like Dan even gives me a use for RP. maybe if i can srap the mods for more tech . Bt stil more NPC with cool drops and maube redo the all the npc's for rank 800+ sick of seeing the same ones for over a year now.

great idea im thinkin that you should be able to use npc artios on it aswell as the genetaar ability as the power is massive on them but over all +0.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999
