Now i know there were ideas of how to upgrade metallic planets in the past, im just bringing the idea back.
Now instead of boosting the output of minerals, artifacts, and research and boosting size; how about the artifact that changes the metallic planet actually hollows out the planet and boosts storage capacity and size

As in to turn the planet into a gigantic storage tower?
Dan would never introduce this as no one would buy storage towers (until the proposed artifact is a hyper limited arti, no more than 3 per player?)

I'd rather hollow out a Barren, you never get any good ones. Might give it some use.

Nah, why would you want to hollow out a Exotic or a Dyson? Or any other good type of planet? If you hollowed out a Barren, it would come as a better use. As you never get one that is above Very Rich.

sith squirrel wrote: gravity fields In fact if you sucked out the inner part of a Gas planet, if you used gravity fields it would either push it all inwards making the planet smaller. Also, if you put artis in there, because its gas it would just fall out, as it would just fall through each side of the remaining planet.

Barren already has an upgrade.
Itd have maybe the same storage as a Polychoron Vault. Its not gonna reduce warehouse purchases specially when ur maxing out ur capacity in 4 hours due to all the planets that u can upgrade for production.
I dont think Dan would introduce a mission that requires u to spend GP to complete a mission.
But of course limit the arti in a mission.

But of course limit the arti in a mission. you wouldnt have to spend GP, you can just buy warehouses from any trading group on facebook or the trading post here on the forums.

the only missions that i know of people spend galaxy points on are the ones where you get the planets and even for them you dont have to spend galaxy points, people just choose to do so cause the artifacts needed are hard to come by. i dont think you can get storage towers without galaxy points but enough of them are sold in the trade groups so you shouldnt have any trouble obtaining them.

I'm sure you can. I don't think that many people would spend galaxy points for them, some people ar selling hundreds at a time.
