Can't we have galaxy-wide contests?

Even 100 GP prize award would motivate people to participate to the contest. But 1k GP is ridiculous. |

OK SHUT UP with the insult there since you can be reported for that. tbh i would like some form of play where you can gain 1000GP such as a lottery that 1 random person gains prizes but on this idea im afraid it wont work due to the dysos will dominate the competition so its gonna be more lets feed the dysos even more GP game. so if you change the idea a little to combat this then i would give support to your idea man. _________________    |

Contests shouldn't be anything stat based. Puzzle pirates ran contests for "best story" and "art". Nonsense like that. That would be a good direction to take contests.

Nothing against the poster (he does manage to get himself flamed a bit), but I just don't see this as being possible. How do you make a galaxy wide contest that is fair when the galaxy is filled with so many different ranks and ship styles? Just about any contest you can conceive, there are already too many loop holes. We all know you can "juice" your stats; so anything like "disable most ships" or "raid most players" will be abused in a heartbeat. Heck, look how fast we figured out how to get green badges from the "football." Shortly after Dan included a medal reward for Exotica, the GL community found a way to swap even that planet. If you offer a prize purse of 1000GP or even 100GP, you are just begging to get cheat raped. _________________  |
