specificaly to use storage towers etc on ..possibly three types could possibly give a bonus to diffrent storage mineral ,research ,artifact,..new artifacts needed to create from new npc races ..or a new research chain accesible at a set rank..just a thought

But through a GP mission chain, otherwise overpowered... (I would think)

1. Players who don't spend GP (Quite a lot of them) will miss out.
2. What's wrong with ordinary storage planets that you build up yourself?
3. These would be more likely to be stolen because of the bonus, therefore defeating the purpose of a storage planet in the first place.

Make it a metallic transformer artifact that shrinks the size down past Very Tiny (new name, Microscopic, 15 space). The new size and density destroy all resources on the planet, but give it invincibility and 50K of passive cloaking. The density also makes it easier to compress stored resources, granting a 10% bonus to storage capacities.

Invincibility it too over powered. They should be able to be stolen, assuming you don't get them with GP. Maybe a long mission chain, and you get say... 5 of these at the end.

Nah we don't need vault planets, VM gases work perfectly fine, especially as you can defend them as you see fit.
