Remember that you get 2 Trap Probes from each Trapper.

Update: Since starting this thread, I am NPCing much more and have only found 1 in the past month or longer.

I was finding one a week, and using them to pull elevator chassis off of planets to make a demon world.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Dan has changed the drop rate for extractors. I NPC almost exclusively and 2 or 3 months ago I would get at least 5-7 a week. Just 3 weeks ago I spend 4 days straight doing nothing but NPCing and got none. I finally got one the day after I had given up (figures) and since then I've not seen another.

1 week = 5-7 in late June / early July
between July 1st and now = 3-4 total
Last 3 weeks = 0

As a comparison in the last 3 weeks I've gotten roughly
0 QSE
1 Flux
5 Krionite Torpedos
6 Terraformers
8 Planetary Optimizers
90-110 Trap Probes

Extractors rarer than Flux Orbs? Something has changed that's for sure.

Nothings changed. I never used to get many. Two levels a week ago got me probably 8. About as many purifiers, and no terraformers abd like 4 data optimizers. Its all random. Define npcing more. How many kill?

Out of my 847 npc kills I've found around 8-10 extractors lol.

847 kills suck I have 3100 and im lower lv then you are you a slow ranker?

Or he could just be someone who doesn't NPC?

I have found 1 since that post. I have 1805 npc kills so far. And yes I am npcing much more, just unlocked the tactical algorithm, and still elusive.

I recently got over 3k npc kills and i have had about 70-80 extractors, 4 terraformers, 5 data optimizers, 0 fluxes, 5 krionite torpedoes, about 400 trap probes and 4 quantum bio-vapourizers. I don't npc alot have about 1-2 runs a week. Personally i'd just say they have random spawn rates as i never consistantly have more or less of some things at a time

I agree with jager, there should be a mission that you can get extractors from. Ive been hoping to get one for a few weeks now but still no luck. In that time Ive gotten a few planet data optimizers and 3 terraforming devices. But not a single build extractor. Theyre waaaaaaay too rare IMO

They aren't that hard to find if you npc regularly.
I find about 1 every 2-3 days.
