Eutrophic Planet :

A wasteland environment kind of planet, oceans and rivers devoid of life, barren landscape. "Eutrophic" sounds better than "Wasteland" or "Badland" - Artifact & Mining Resources

NOTE : There needs to be more planets that sport Artifact and Mining, alot of planets are usually Artifact and Research ( Terra, Ocean, Desert, Icy, Gaia, Crystal etc )

----------

Anhydrous Planet :

A planet that lacks H2O , but has other plentiful liquids and gases, because of this, a very unusual and thick atmosphere composed of nitrogen and H2 is formed and has oceans of methane and hydrogen. - Artifact and Research
E.g Planet : Titan Saturn's moon -

----------

Luminos Planet : A planet that glows : - Research

----------

Incendiary Planet : This one is really ridiculous, it's a planet that's on fire all the time. ( could be a GIF as an image )

Other planet type suggestions would be great but i think the developers have most of the types covered

More planets would be nice, spice scanning up a little, but I think we need something distinguishable about the planets.

+1 to more planet variety.

Actually, a barren planet has no atmosphere, it's like the moon. A Eutrophic planet has an atmosphere, it's like the planet Tarsonis in Starcraft. Basically a wasteland planet with little life, lots of dirt and stuff.

Hehe, the difference between a planet with and without an atmosphere is really big.
E.g- Taking the atmosphere from Planet Earth would turn into a barren planet. If we thickened the atmosphere on Mars, it could potentially make it habitable.

Short Answer : Yes, A Eutrophic planet is unique and different to all other planets out there.

Long Sciency Answer :
The process of Eutrophication is when excess minerals such as phosphates and nitrates reach in fresh water bodies such as rivers and lakes and causes algal populations to increase exponentially. The bloom turns the water opaque and blocks out all sunlight, this leads to death of algae.
Dead algae are decomposed from aerobic bacteria, bacteria respire and use up oxygen using up dissolved oxygen in the river and increasing biologically oxygen demand. More plants and marine life such as fishes and amphibians die, as well as the aerobic bacteria.
Anaerobic decay bacteria and cyano-bacteria grow in these kinda conditions, well more like thrive, they release toxins into the waterway and kill off all animals and plants in the river system leaving the river devoid of life.
Extinctions of fishes and plants inside rivers can lead to an adverse impact on the food chain, this can slowly lead to species of animals and wildlife that rely on the river as a source of water and food to starve to death.
Eventually the whole entire planet becomes devoid of life or very little life remains.

Eutrophication can occur on terra planets hence, artifact production. and Eutrophication occurs when there are lots of minerals around hence, mineral production.

Of course, Eutrophications doesn't really necessarily lead to planet being devoid of life, just hypothetical  just like metal and dyson planets don't really exist out there.

All metals such as iron and copper are produced from nuclear fusion from the cores of the most massive stars. The odds of a planet forming of solely Iron and copper is very unlikely since a star produces all kinds of other materials such as carbon.

As for Dyson planets , there are no known or theorized material is strong enough to withstand the mechanical pressure to form a rigid, static sphere around a star.

But we include for the fun of it ;)

There would be a distinct difference between a toxic and Eutrophic planet, toxic planets generally have alot of hazardous chemicals and it rains acids. Take Venus for example, it has tonnes and tonnes of sulfur dioxide and Sulfuric acid and is covered in a massive smog of carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide.

The climate of the Eutrophic planet is unaffected by Eutrophication. It would still rain normal water. It would probably be a bit cold too, no trees to produce CO2 to generate a greenhouse effect.

I'll just stick with the short answer for now, also we're in the future, by thousands of years I presume, who knows if Dysons will be a reality then. I don't know enough about them. That and I don't live a couple of thousand years in the future of course.

i would also be interested in more planet types ... but the focus should be switched from resource production to other benefits to avoid duplicating existing types.

some thoughts:

- a 'malthusian' planet with a much faster rate of population regen
- a 'mirror' planet which does double the atk damage to the attacker on each hit
- a 'ringworld' planet which allows total surveillance, preventing saboteurs from succeeding

No to more saboteur nerfs. Are the artifact/ability immunities not enough, as they block saboteurs completely already?

It has potential. More Planet variety, the better. We still need a HUGE update, bi-weekly's are good but not enough to keep players.

The problem is after the GTC, Dan has to start a new project I imagine either from, or close to the start. We all know how long he took to get the GTC out.
