We all know doing this sucks, especially for things that show up on the second or third page and the game refreshes after each click.
A quick and easy solution would be to trick the sort, I propose following renames:
Exotic Pulser to Xotic Pulsar (this would sort it to the first page on a reverse name sort).
Ion Pulse Ballistae to Anionic Pulse Ballistae (this would sort it to the first page on a name sort).
All buyable relays become "A Relay - [type of relay]" so work hole relays would become "A Relay - Wormhole" (this would sort it to the first page on a name sort).
This textual solution would require no additional programming and would at least let us sort our items to the first page so we don't have to keep flipping to the 2nd or 3rd page.
For me, to uninstall my Exotic Pulser and Ion Pulse Ballistae, it takes 16 clicks (some people would be 17 clicks). What I proposed would take it down to 8.

if you invert the item type on the sort modules page the relays are the first thing that comes up.

it has worked for me since i started this game. with both weapons and relays. the game sorts it by equipment type. not by name. the only time ive ever seen it different was when i was on a mac or using safari. both awful, awful things.

This does work for relays, it however doesnt work for the weapons and it is super annoying. I keep hoping Dan will fix the ship tabs like the artifact page was changed.

I do have to admit that uninstalling mods that hop all over the place and the window resetting to the beginning when uninstalling mods is very annoying.

I'll go one step further ..
Classes, loadouts, fittings. Whatever you want to call them. Basically you can save several setups of your ship.. in memory.. and before level up instead of having to piss around with clicking uninstall and reinstall... you can switch (as long as you have all the correct modules) at the click of a button.
Kinda like classes in CoD but more of a convenience type thing.
So levelling up and messing around with relays and power cores isn't such a headache...

This has been suggested multiple time and it is a good suggestion but is a lot of programming and testing I would bet. My solution requires nothing but a couple of text changes. I don't think my solution is the best one, but it is a short term patch on the problem. Halving the number of clicks makes everyone happy.

I would take a fix we can have tomorrow over one we can have in a month anyday. Perhaps being able to break these equipment tabs into subtabs.. like relays all under one tab.. and being able to unequip a lot faster. Something like when you're ordering minerals... in a way.. but maybe tick boxes and then you submit what you want done? Rather than the current, click -> remove times every module you want off your ship.. or on. There are severals ways this issue could be resolved and frankly this reply is to get it to the top page again..
