That's what it takes to take off, or put back on all the modules I have that lower max energy. More if I have to repair any of them.
It would be very nice if we had a way to set up a build to fast switch module configurations. And if there's any concern about it making it too easy to work around deck restrictions (i.e. make more decks less desirable)? Just limit it to a button that takes off or puts on all your -max power items, if need be. Thanks.

76 seems a tad high. Tried sorting energy by output or item?
Agreed something should be done. This would work, but I'd be more for stopping the refresh after installing/uninstalling/repairing a module.

ive got atleast 40 or so clicks, 2 pages right for 3x exotic weapons, 4 and 5 pages right 4x for ion pulse ballistae, energy reorganized backwards, then the maddening shuffle that the relays do so i almost always install one that i just uninstalled a few times.. wtf is with that anyway???
and re organizing my ship for a scanning run, whilst not as often as ranking, is just an awful nightmare of clicking.

Cross Posting from a similar topic, Dan will be addressing this soon but not through "sets"/"kits" as you suggest. QCubed wrote: Jai wrote: It would be great if I were able to have custom ship layouts. Changing ship parts manually is a pain This has been asked many times, including in topics started by me. We started asking for the ability to create "kits" of modules you could fast-change into about two year ago. This is unlikely to happen. However, I have some good news too! I suggested to Dan that we have a filter on Artifacts, which Dan recently implemented. a couple months ago, I corresponded with Dan about changing the Ship Module Page to be easier to work with as well; The outcome was that Dan suggested, and I advocated making a filter for ships modules the same as we now have for artifacts. So, this should help make the ship modules far easier to deal with! =) I also asked that he extend the Artifact filter to the GL Purchasable artifacts as well, since it's hard to buy multiples, to which he agreed it would be a good enhancement once he's done with the others. =) -Q By the way, there are only 11 modules which decrease energy/increase charge rate whciha re in any way worth mounting and unmounting. 4x are Relays (Sort your energy items by type, unless you have the top generators they will show all in one page, otherwise they will be half on the first page, and half on the second page) 5 to 6 clicks if not top generators (1-2 for sorting relays to 1st page + 4 for unmounting) 5 to 8 clicks if you have top generators (1-2 to sort, 0-2 for page turns, + 4x for unmounting) 7x are weapons (I have nearly all weapons so this may be worst case scenario) 3x Exotic Pulsers (2x on page 2, 1x on page 3) 2+1+1 = 4 for page turns 3 = unmounts = 7x clicks for EPs 4x Ion Pulse Balistae (4x on page 5) 4x4 = 16 clicks for page turns 4= unmounts = 20 clicks for IPBs 27 clicks for relavent Weapons plus 5 to 8 clicks for relays that is only 32 to 35 clicks; Yes, still a bit excessive to be sure, but your number of over 100% worse than this scenario. So are you not using the sorting to your advantage, or are you disabling and enabling additional items which do not necessarily "need" to be disabled except that you are using a build which hamstrings your deck-space? If the former, then, hooray, I've just saved you a ton of time and clicking! =) If the latter, too bad, that is the price you pay, but, take heart, your task will be greatly benefited by having a modules filters you can type into, I for one can;t wait to type in say "Relay Online" on the energy Modules screen or "Reduce Max Energy Online" on the weapons screen. Otherwise you will end up doing what most of us do: Only enable and disable the relays, and you don't often bother with exotic pulsers and ionic balistaes. In fact, after a while of dealing with the clicking, I left all pulsers and balistae offline until I added the number of engineers needed to counter-act their negative effect, and then left them online all the time. Thanks for the cross-post. Not an ideal solution, but it will help.
As for the 76 clicks: For me, my first exotic pulser is on page 2, so 2 clicks to get to that page and one to install/uninstall that, 3 total. The other 2 pulsers are then 4 clicks, total 11 clicks for pulsers.
First ballistae is on page 5 for me, so 6 clicks there. The other three are on page 6, so 7 clicks. That puts a total of 27 clicks for ballistae. 38 for weapons.
My relays are on page 8 (2x) and 9 (2x), so that's 2x9 and 2x10, respectively. Total 38. Total 38 + 38 = 76.
You're right, I'm not using any sorting. I probably could shave some clicks by using a few sorting methods in concert and I'll keep that in mind. But, I don't think the average player is going to do that, so in terms of UI improvements, I think it's a good thing to improve on. Of course, I also suggested moving (or duplicating) the arrows used to scroll pages on a panel to the top a couple of times in the past year, and despite being a simple fix that would alleviate panels with dynamic heights (which can cause one to accidentally sell or uninstall a module), that suggestion hasn't been taken up either, so who knows what will happen.

+1 to anything that makes taking off and putting on all my stuff inbetween levels easier

Yes this will save you immense amounts of time and clicking, and that's why the sorting was added to the modules a couple years ago, so use it. I think the filter will be pretty good I'll just type in "relay" when on the energy page and be left with 4 clicks and I'll type in something like "energy online" on the weapons page, and be left with just the weapons which effect energy and are online, then uninstall and the offline will disappear then to get them back online I'll just filter by "Offline" and when I click to put them back online they will disappear =) then it will be 5 click & 5 letters for energy, and 9 clicks and 14 letters for weapons; or 14 clicks, and typing 19 letters, total. that's not too bad at all.
