Seeing as how we have many grate ides are asked by the player, then Dan and CO decides not to take our ideas and work them in to the game instead adding , Well Just look at the new weekly FAIL of a mission.

I suggest that Dan and CO submits all new add ons to GL players review.

This is a good idea it will save Dan time not to work on bad ideas ad it will free up his time to work on good ones. Seeing as how we the players pay our cash and or Time to make this game what it is I think at this point to save GL from this new trend maybe we should be given a bigger role in the game devilment. Dan can code very well but maybe u may want to look a bit more to the players of GL before making new stuff. if we work to gather me can make GL grate for every one

It actually takes 1-2 Minutes to create a Poll. If we don't like it, he doesn't develop it. If we do like it, he goes on with it.

It actually saves a hell of a lot of time.

I would rather wait the extra time for something awesome to come out than just have something come out that isn't as good.

Ok, now all joking aside... I'm about a +.5 on this. Absolutely Dan needs to take the players interest in mind. But open polls are definitely not the way to go about it. Giving every idiot with a forum account a "vote" on content would stagnate the progress even further than what it is already. On the other hand, a "Content Committee" made up of several of the long term, experienced players would be more appropriate. With confidentiality and "behind closed doors," of course. Dan could float ideas he's looking at past the committee and get a feel for how the wider playerbase will react.

And before anyone says "Oh that's just going to be a bunch of high ranks saying no to anything for the lowbies" I would point out a couple things. There are a lot of players still in the mid ranks with a great deal of experience (The Black Pearl comes to mind). There are also many resets, low rank but lots of experience (Bobdebower for example). I'd also like to think that many, if not most, of the high rank people legitimately try to look at suggestions from more than just their own perspective. I know I make that attempt within the Suggestion forum (it's just that some are SO stupid...). Like it or not, us high ranks "been there, done that" and we might just know what we're talking about when we say something is a good idea or bad.

I have oftenly keept lover ranks in mind on things that would effect them and have made many sugestions to make GL better . I would nominate my self if Dan did make a comittee to consult with.

Giving a comity of players part of the vote seems more like the way to go. You also need players at different ranks to get more of a feel. So I would volenteer myself as well. Of course if this all goes through.

I wouldn't mind a spot on this committee it is were to be formed, I think it's a great idea.

Voting thatsa bad idea. We dont need to vote. but Dan beinging like" hey what to u think of" this or" what if i" ,kinda thing then use giving feed back. Voting i think would be more harmful. Or he could just come to the group and ask what we think the game needs.

Just making a forum thread about it like MLP said would work. You can see everyone who's posting so he can ignore the idiots but listen to the players who know what they're talking about. This would also allow a greater variety of people to give their opinion and would allow for a much more extensive debate.

sounds good but idk how effectively that'd work. he seems pretty intent on ignoring us. only times he's bothered to do what we want is when we make a huge deal about it like we did with TMs and Exotica. in the hopes he'll start working on one of the ideas on there. Don't get me wrong i'm not trying to be the negative jerk in all of this just saying that he doesn't really take anything into consideration unless we make a huge deal about it.

I like the idea of a 'galactic senate' that could advise and offer feedback to developers. You probably would have to restrict it to 1 representative from each of the top 50 legions to keep representation balanced. There would also have to be some process for each legion to select a delegate to serve maybe on a monthly term basis.

A lot of the in-game suggestions that lack merit would get filtered out, and recommendations by a committee representing so many players would carry more weight. It certainly would make the developer's life a whole lot easier to deal with a small group rather that the entire GL community.

When Dan wants our opinion, he'll ask. He knows where to find us. As much as I would like to have influence on progress, all I really want is for Dan to have a bigger presence in the forum and respond more regularly to issues.

May be time to replace the ghost mods with people who can display a more active interest in the forums and take some of the duties we are talking about.
