I have been thinking about why Dan was so much more active and interested in GL in the past, back when he used to be on the forum a lot and things like that. The only thing I could come up with is that he too has gotten bored with GL, after so long of doing nothing besides working on the game I bet it gotten rather stale for him.

So in light of that I propose that Dan do a reset and actually play GL for an hour or so a day to get a better perspective on the things we are all asking for and the new additions we don't like. For this to work he would have to refrain from ranking or improving his ship in anyway that is not open to a regular GL player and would have to work for planets and upgrades the same as anyone else.

Sounds like a good idea, it would probably put GL in a different light for him. +1

+1 yep, or if worst comes to worse and he does infact get bored of the development of the game then he should get someone to take his place someone he would trust, i'm sure being a game dev he would know other game devs ect.. that he is friends with or something, that's what he should do in my opinion.

agreed. if people like MLP have nothing to do at around 1800 imagine how bored Dan is at rank 4000.

Why not have him play normally? Interact with us, steal our planet, and blow up our bases?

At the very beginning, I believe he did actually play the game. Issues of conflict of interest and favoritism convinced him to later use his ship basically for testing purposes.

Same with his legion. The base was for testing purposes, that's why it's only level 4

Well, you ever get into a small altercation with another legion and you don't want to go to war but then, all of a sudden, 2 or 3 ships from said legion show up on your BT. Can't be coincidence. I think that's Dan trying to start a war!

I'm guessing dan wouldn't want the game just to die out for high rankers. the new mission chain should have something that isn't an epic fail like the gtc. people started talking about new servers and different galaxies which have been mentioned in the descriptions.

I like that idea. I really like what Dan is doing to the game NOW though.
He HAS listened to what we have all said and implemented them, along with new mission chains, and the weekly missions remember. He can only work so fast.

we all kinda hate the current mission chain so Dan isn't doing us any favors by prioritizing that over new content that is being constantly demanded.

Relax, people. Just be patient. Besides, the Hallows Bane will be here sooner than later. That will entertain us for a month. Maybe that's what Dan is waiting for so he can take a break.

Granted I am only a lvl 550 player and have a ways to go but I get really tired of hearing all the high lvl players whine! God if you need a challange and want to make the game fun quit hiding in you super legion and start one of your own. Is it so damn bad that you cant survive? Grow a pair and create some diversity by branching out. This isn't for the leaders out there but the sheep who sit in strong legions like they are something special but then say they are bored of the game, really? Lets see what you got!
