One of my legion members just made a recruitment legion and I'm wondering how to get people to join.
Any ideas?
And the legion is Recruitment for Hov.

Aren't those recruitment legions/recruitment beacons just temporary legions?

Honestly bro, here are a few tips for getting members into your ACTUAL legion so you don't have to scavenge for members doing that.

1. Keep yourself and your legion active on the forums - The more active members with legion banners the more likely people will check you out and maybe join you.

2. Make friends - I know a lot of my recruited personnel have come to me because they heard we were good from a friend. So if you be nice and make friends then you should get a few extra members.

3. Become a legionhold name - If everyone doesn't know who your legion is then you did something wrong. Do this by making a recruitment thread that really stands out, or do what we did and become one of the top training legions in the sector. It worked for us and now we are well known.

4. BE NICE! - I know I let myself snap every now and then and end up being a bad person because of it. However, I try to keep that to a minimum so I don't look like a jerk to everyone and make it so no one would want to work with me. Try to be a nice person as well, be helpful to those who need it, don't just recruit high level players or you look like you just want another power legion (which people won't take to well around these parts.)

5. Be on every 'Recruit Me' page - That one explains itself. If you have an opening in your legion be on those pages! It doesn't matter if it is a rank 1 or rank 1000. There is always a chance they will pick you. No matter how many times they pick the same legion again and again. The lower the rank the less competition you will have and the more likely you are to get a loyal member. Honestly, anyone on the forums is a good pick in my opinion.

Anywho, those are Shorty's five easy to follow tips to getting a better legion. I hope they help you a bit.

I made this thread a while back specifically for effective recruitment from the forums. Have a look.

Thanks for the advice. #4 is probably the easiest for me because lending people 10 billion at my rank is actually really hard because I gave uup a third of my credits at the time. Being on recruit me pages and making everyone's unique is sort of tricky, since I'm being loaded with homework. Making friends isn't that hard, since I am naturally a friendly person. You can ask anyone i've made a trade with and they'll tell you. And *cough* I rigged my banner so that anyone who clicks it automatically sends an invitation to HOV *cough* lol!Is that good enough?

Thanks for the link. I am currently trying to read it all and make sense of it, then apply it to Hand of Vengence.

kill every legion that messes with your legion . good PVP plays seem to come to legions that do that. If you can get many lower ranks PVP players they will rank up in to strong players helping the legion adding to it's success.

None of my BT Recruits were legionless, and I had 20 or so :P

Well blasting players from other legions is getting harder since everyone on my BT is about 50 levels above. And about half of HOV is insane, and the other half is below balanced. It's sort of hard to get new players that actually have strong PvP ships.

I think that kinda sucks, i dont think many people want to join legions that cant back them up in a fight. Not saying u have to be killer cut throte mavericks but it helps if people know your strong and able to fight.

I completely insane , I try hard to work that to my legions advantage. If your loony , cookoo, tri polar or some other form of whackjob try to use it in a good helpful way. The other voice in my head have many grate ideas that can be put to good uses. Now where was the role of duct tape. ;)

I just failed a darn planet invasion on a planet with no defense or attack. Anyways, do you guys know any incentives to try to keep people in my legion active? I'm currently trying women, but it's pretty hard to find any in this game :(
