I've noticed that we can't find ships after rank 450'sh and that's ok but ....... We're losing out on one very important drop and that's the Lazuli Pylon. :(

Anyone that has played this game long enough knows that it now gives +600 to planet invasion defense with a limit of 3 per planet. Now that the cloak is way lower than the scan right now we need them more than ever.

When we reach ranks this high we need more of these because we are able and have more planets to defend so it's obvious that we need a new Lazuli ship to fight to get those drops or better ones depending on how hard the Boss ship is to fight.

Dan we really need these things bad .. I hope you put a new ship out there for us 8-)

Thanks ;)

yeah I agree, I was holding back from reaching rank 450 because of the fact that we lose some really good npc drops, would be nice if there was a npc similar to the dark rings and Lazui stations for 450+ ranks

Dang that stinks, I'd imagine that the players who are already over 450 are at a disadvantage. Glad I've got a ways to go but hopefully Dan will add a drop to balance out the scales.

We really need some actual new content, not just copy and pasting the same npcs and altering their level and dropped item stats...

But at the least give us higher level npcs that have drops that can always be used. None of us ever want to see a silithion hive colony again.......EVER!

Not only that but I think there are way too many Flamehawks. " If " there has to be so many I'd like to see their defense and or hull dropped some and lower the drop count to compensate if need be. Having to hit them more than some NPC Bosses is kind of ridiculous.

Hmm, is it true all matched NPC will still show up periodically ? It does seem like the options for common NPC appearances become limited.

Why don't we propose some NPC ideas ? Need more content right ?

I'm personally still in the 100s and i'm sick of seeing dark warpers.. it shouldn't be allowed to have such an annoyingly unchallenging NPC that takes so many hits (because of ridiculous amounts of defense) that gives you literally zero returns... i mean, not even a nice artifact.

Everytime i see a warper i swear under my breath :x

Get used to it. You will see them until rank 200.

If the returns were literally zero, you wouldn't get any experience, either. This is sort of why I don't npc blitz as much as other dysonians though, its repetitive.

Party at my place, come rank 200 ? ;)

But yeah, Warper's description says they apparently ferry expensive goods, same for the Velocitor.. i don't see the point in getting someone's hopes up of getting something sexy out of them considering they NEVER DROP A THING.

In my opinion, NPCs should all drop something (no matter how crappy) just so you get that "feel good" factor. Warper's feel like wasted energy, i generally never kill them... i do missions when i've got 2 on my scope.

Perhaps make it so they drop artifacts that can clear NPCs from your scopes? That would be pretty awesome?

I hate the flamehawks. I think Dan added them to stop the super leveling because they are almost worthless and take 5x as long to kill as most other commons. Just like he isn't adding new research, he obviously wants to restrict the big guys while helping the little guys.

The longer I play, the less there is to do. I haven't gone on a NPC killing spree in weeks, haven't attacked any other players in even longer, haven't found a good planet even longer than that.

NPCs are really the only thing to do anymore and they have become truly boring.

If Dan's intent was to slow down the super leveling with flamehawks, then it's not effective. Since almost all the ones at the top reached their high levels through buying energy.

If he is trying to slow down the high energy builds, such as myself, then adding the flamehawks isn't effective either. I changed from Inergon explorer to Vygoid excavator because I was leveling too fast and had too many empty planet slots. Switching cost me almost 800 energy but I can still rank up at least twice a day just from doing mostly missions. If I had stayed a Inergon, I could rank up 5 times a day easily.

The best way to slow down the energy build is to limit how often the RSL Memory Implant and the Neural Interfaces drop. Flamehawks doesn't slow down my leveling. All it does is make NPC fighting tedious.

I an many of the highest levels can 2-3 shot the common NPCs. The Flamehawk takes me 8-10. Thats 3 to 4 times as much energy. The experience needed to level grows exponentially with each rank. So you are increasing the experienced needed and decreasing the number of easy experience by replacing weak NPCs with strong ones.

It doesn't matter how you got your energy, you still need more energy to kill a flamehawk and get comparatively less experience. That is a very effective way to decrease leveling.

Not only that but the types of NPCs available to us are less and drop less useful artifacts. There are some NPCs and artifacts I have never gotten because Dan added them to the lower levels after I had already passed that rank. These are all benefits that high levels are excluded from and will never have.

I've gotten to #3 in rank even though I started playing 3 months after the game came out, so I do understand what is required to get "super leveling" as you call it.

My point is yes, even though it's obvious that flamehawks will slow down leveling. For those who are buying energy or have a energy build, flamehawks don't noticeably slow down the "super leveling". So, if he is specifically targetting the "super levelers" than it is ineffective.

I don't think he is specifically targeting us, I think he is just trying to slow others down and keep them from becoming us. You and I both know the game is becoming increasingly boring as we run out of things to do. Right now there are less than 10 of us with that problem.

I think his goal is two fold.

1) To make it easy on the little guys and newbs by biasing the game against the top 20% rankwise
2) To keep the mid levels from outpacing everyone else like the top 10 did.

I agree with you. The game is becoming boring.
