The Silthion have evolved substantially since we last explored the Vorigar Expanse. Their worlds lie somewhere inside, and it's time to investigate. The Expanse is a massive cloud of waste gas produced by the Silthion: scanners will not find much easily.

my suggestion is increasing the passive cloak of the planets since they are hidden in the vorigar expanse.
adding the current passive cloak to the scanning requirement for the mission= new passive cloak of 2500.

completely agree ive got 2 sphotic planet will alert them to you if you need prof yctm .im a rank 101 and i should even have the planet but cos my scan was 3k i got 1 than the othey came 2 weeks later.

The passive attack/defense/cloak on the "freebie" mission planets was raised from the original values quite some time ago. Not needed in my opinion because, well... Standard Aphotics, Ecumenopolis and normal Sentients just aren't all that great of planets to begin with.

I agree with this. It does seem strange needing 2500 scan to do the mission, and yet the planets you get "only" have 1200 cloak. There's a definite mismatch there.
