Can some one pls explain it to me:

What is the point of heaving def on ur ship or attack in pvp when there is debuffs involved?
Why did we all researched def and attack modules and pay for their upkeep by making planets and some of them with Gp's?
Why are we wasting our time researching this mods?
In my opinion we should not have to research attack, def and shields since they can be debuffed..


Nvm this they can go back and forth spam each other to the death because is the the stupid thing to do and we should all follow it because its just the way it is and deal with it.. :roll:

Weak Players don't have unlimited debuffs, we can't bring every single vessel that is superior to us down to our level using debuffs. - Even though they can purchase Debuffs via GTC or trade, weaker players usually have lower arti productions and they pretty much run out of nulls anyway...which is what happened to that rank 462 Taltherian Miner

Those players who're able to horde lots of debuffs have high arti production and they generally wont debuff like mad because they have stronger ships.

I really think emp spamming levels the playing field. When your rank 50 and you get alerted and disabled by a rank 600 that can be annoying. It allows you to take him down and make him regret hitting you. If your online and have containment cubes greate or else to bad. Its part of the game.

I had proposed limiting debuff artis to a max of 3 of each type in another suggestion thread proposing several PvP changes. Most people didn't like it overall. Let's face it, people don't like being limited in what they can or can't do.

I don't see the difference bewteen boss npcs and PvP combat tho, so why limit us to only 1 of each debuff fighting bosses but have unlimited for PvP?

Maybe meet us in the middle and cap debuff artis at 5 of each arti stacking effects (until a cage removes them and then you can use more) in PvP combat and allow us to use more than 1 on bosses at the same time. Face it, if you can't kill someone with -50% att and -50% def you should be trying. And most ppl will zero you for arti spams like that anyways.

the difference, for a start, is that npcs dont heal, cant activate c cages, cant regen shield, and cant kick ur ass when they come back online to find they have been spammed.

Nope you totally missed the idea...I think we researched those mods so we can get them debuffed and prove a useless point

Lessay that I come across a ship that takes 20 shots to kill. If I fire 5 debuffs, it's probably going to take 15+ shots to kill still, so the debuffs are a waste of energy.

I wast talking about attack, def and shields mods cause them VS debuffs they are pointless as might as well take them off in some sort of war cause over all since you talked about wasting energy you will be wasting credits on their upkeep cause they are pointless soon as you leave ur screen..

I will give you one more good example hopefully you get it:

Halloween is coming up which will bring us the missions and elites and also brings in the "Gift to the Naughty" artifact cause I do believe its -50% def per use..

Lets take Mento for example (No offense Mento)
Since we all know Mento and his massive amount of artifact which he worked hard for it by spending Gp's, trades and so on..so my point is why would there be such artifacts available for ppl to use since Mento has worked hard to build his ship..

Pls explain this to me and others...How is that fair to many ppl like Mento or close to him when there is freely use of debuffs at any time use in pvp?

I dont know about mento, but the more debuffs get used on me, the more i laugh.

To me, its proof positive that they were too weak to kill me any other way.

Also, because of the way they stack (Getting less effective each time) casual emp use (say, 3-4) does get effected significantly by raising your defence. Sure, if they throw 15 at you, your defence doesnt matter. But your hull certainly does, and your attack will make them feel pain.
IF they throw 15 disarming bombs, now your attack doesnt matter either.

But of course, that means they just spent 150 energy doing nothing but debuffs, before even attacking. Thats expensive energywise!

If someone uses these 15 emp's and disarming bombs on me, they then require a minimum of 48 attacks against me to get the disable if they hit my damage cap. (Assuming they also use a krionite torpedo. If not, add another 25 attacks on, or 125 energy)

So now that i have been totaly and utterly debuffed and killed, my attacker has spent 395 energy to get the kill, or 515 if they did not use a krionite.

You know... given i have to use a single artifact to repair myself, im kind of happy with that trade. TO me it feels like there is a very good reason to keep raising my defence and hull...

A ludicrously large ship with 6k decks needs three times my hull to have the same effect, but the situation is exactly the same. A 4k deck lazuli fixer with the same stats as me would be just as hard to kill.

2k decks is a medium ship build, not a small one :P Not my fault that the galactic standard is SuperSized!
