so you take a break strategically, and then poof, you get into the arena for a sweet planet theft, and then disappear for another period of time.. NO NO NO NO.
they can take the tiny lumps of the occasional disable and live with it. if they dont like it, farmville is just a few clicks away

I suggests the fallowing !

Remove halcs! come on its a war game. this is like the only war game that says " Hay now .. cant touch him" Just let us kill him. LARP players should just yell "Halcyon Trap!" or make it in a bad meme!

Or as a community every time we think some one has a halc on, we can zero there hacks then atk them. Targeting all Halced players seeking out the legion bases of the players who halc the most and just go after them till people no longer with to wear halcs.

So basically this is just another big suggestion whining about hitting a kvt then a halc? Because that's what I'm getting.
Get your arti up or get over it.

And hawke hows about instead of always complaining how your bt doesn't show high enough ranks you just maybe add some engineers and rank up some. Problem solved.

1. Its part of the issue.

2. I have 4.2k Energy w/o relays on and im Rank 456 and i still see rank 200s. Excuse me for wanting harder opponents to fight. The only Enjoyment i get out of pvp NOW, is knocking ppl off exotica...

Ah theres the "its a war game" excuse again.

But to be honest halcs have always been something that has caused alot of issues, I thought of a few ideas that would change the passive players around a bit, one of them was to make it show up on the active effect list when someone has a halc on, yes yes I know "thats what trap probes are for" or "thats why you check action counts for" I will tell you right now ALOT of the player base will not put on a halc but still have the 3,5,5 action count, that and some players will just put a halc on and a halc alone making it look like someone only has a KV on.

The other idea is rather more crazy remove halcs altogether, but make calming amps last for as long as the halc traps work.

The fix for this is so simple, when people have active halcs automatically bump them off the BT. As for Hawke, well Dan needs to get off his backside and fix the BT.

So people can completely stay off the bt for a week? No.
And fix the bt how exactly?

the bt rank range needs to be narrowed to 20% instead of the 40% it is now.

At higher ranks that doesn't work.

Its not something they knowingly got into though.
this would be an unexpected change to the system that would be screwing alot of people.
if you want tougher targets thats your problem, but there are already ways in thet game to fix that.

you cant honestly be that naive, anyone whos power ranked KNOWS the game. they know what the bt shows. and they decided to set records by going to stupid ranks just cause. they get to lose out on a lot because of it. their choice.

Wonderful. Another argument about BT ranges and halcyons. I need that abbreviation thingimabob for these discussion topics too... Seriously people... What is so difficult about dealing with halcyons? Trap Probe anyone under 3/5/5 and roll the dice if they have less than 4 traps active. So you hit a halc sometimes. BIG DEAL. 8 of 10 BT targets are halc'd? BIG DEAL. At least you can bump them. Try getting stuck with 8 of 10 people on your tab with 0 or negative disables. You can't bump those, so that I think should be a bigger complaint. And BT ranges... FFS, rank has very little to do with strength nowadays. You don't like hitting lower ranks on your BT? That's YOUR issue, not the game's. Tightening up the range while leaving it based on rank is a no-go. Again, higher ranks would lose a majority of their already increasingly smaller variety of targets. It's their fault for ranking up so much? Seriously? How about there's not much to do besides farm terraformers and make purgers?

Yeah, but they didn't know that range would be cut down.
Its your choice to not add engineers/power rank that makes you see lower ranks.

@darth: it was said. They don't seem to understand though.

The single easiest way to stay truced is applying a calming amp and a halc. Then you get four hours of protection, however long it takes to be attacked, and an additional 2 hours on top of that.

Personally, the few times I have been halved or CAmped, it did not last long as I would be hacked pretty soon, then void the truce to kill the hacker. I sometimes use a camp on scan runs now, but more often I forget to stop performing actions for 24 hours. After a few days of forgetting to not PvP, I say to Hell with it and do my run anyway.

I have an idea. Lets say Halc's go on unchanged as they are. But if someone doesn't PvP at all in 168 hrs, (7 days) they fall off the BT completely. They are put back on the BT if they disable, hack, raid, invade an enemy controlled planet or use certain offensive artifacts.

That gets the truely passive non-pvpers off the BT which could make PvP more challangeing and fun, and it pretty much gives everyone less to complain about when they get disabled. If your on the BT at all, you did something offenive within the last 7 days.

The other idea of passive, normal or aggressive legions just wouldn't work, even if it could be coded. Too much risk of multis abusing the ability to stay off the BT in a "Passive Legion"

A week? Halcyons last for 2 hours, where on earth did you get the week from.
Fixing the bt by (don't scream Darth I have no problem hitting people much lower ranked than me :D) making it so that people closer to your rank show up.

You said on not active. You can just refresh away someone with a tripped halc already. Only ones who cause problems are those with 0 disables.
Okay then. Give a solution to the bt that works for ALL ranks.

Have a 20% either way configuration, then when you start running out of targets in that 20% the game automatically extends the percentage until you get targets again. This caps out at 60% obviously.
