I tried to invade a planet that a legion member alerted, and guess what, the damn Apparitious, Bane Familiar still at rank 1? How to rank up this ally beside invading a planet that I scanned within 48 hours?

Your legion member probably had the planet on scan for more then 24 hours. It's best to do it with one of your own freshly scanned planets.

Ok, I see. Ty for the clarification. So the planet alerted has to be in the owner's scan for less than 48 hours, that sounds like a difficult task to level up this guy.

no thats not correct at all...

any planet that your legion alerts and you successfully invade will rank up your ally

"Invade a planet that has been in your planet list for 48 hours or less."

I just did that and my ally remained at rank 1, so I think what he said is correct. Anyone else can confirm that?

I can confirm that it ranks off of legionmates' shares, even if they have had the scan for months. You may have already had the planet on your scans?

Contact Dan, since it's a new ally, it's probably just a glitch that didn't come up during testing.

ICBLF is probably right here, if you had it on scan already (knowingly or not) the ally would not level up.

Ok, I will try again tomorrow and check first to see if I have the planet in my list first. Ty for the confirmation.

Nope, I tried this and it didn't rank up. Here is the steps that i tried.
1) Legion member alerted an uncolonized planet
2) I occupied it
3) He left the legion and invade the planet
4) I invaded the planet

And this is within 2 hours, and my bane is still at rank 1. Anyone can explain what i did wrong?

It's probably because you had it occupied previously. Not sure about this, but that'd be my best guess.

Christ... Why does everyone have to use work-arounds to get the easy exploits?

Go do a legitimate invasion and see what happens.

I already checked, I don't have the planet in my list. It's not working around, he wanted to finish the The Lone Conqueror medal, so I asked him to help. But on the 2nd hand, i will try that tomorrow, just invade an alerted planet to see what happened. Did anyone get his/her bane rank up yet?

Do you realize that you have to do a scan run, then invade a planet within 48 hours, most of us don't scan very often, let alone invade a worthy planet to keep.

So you're BOTH taking the exploits... He gets a guaranteed invasion and production boost and you get a guaranteed invasion and bonus stats...

FFS...

Edit: And yes, I understand how the thing works.

Uhh... No. Legionmate alerts an enemy occupied planet, you take it. Apparitious rank up.
Buy an enemy occupied planet from the trading post. Take it. Apparitious rank up.
Scan 10-15 planets or until you find an enemy occupied one you can take. Take it. Apparitious rank up.

Doing massive scan runs isn't the only legitimate way to do things.

Mine is level 8 and I haven't done a scan run in 2 months. All legion alerts work and if done correctly all invasions can count toward ranking the ally. Just saying...you are doing it wrong.
