deep extraction is the +4 tier. global meshing is +5, which is tier... 7, I think. It comes after hyperspheres.

quad frames are worth it if you have the medal points to upgrade to senary frames

i would still get the cipher bots before the senary upgrades. the scan bonus on the senary is of limited use by the time you have enough medal points, while the cipher bots can help you to work towards those medal points faster.

So I ended up snatching up the quad frame. I'm slowing down on my hacking right now (trying to get my first dominion cannon) but I think I'll get a cypher bot next.

Still ssb (rank+19) I'm using ship bots every other rank. I also plan on storing a ton of ship bots so that when I get to the 150 range I can transition to a medium ship build.


right now I'm +4 on planetary construction. I decided to take a break from that and boost my hull. Right now I'm only +2 on hull, try to get to the durt hulls before I start putting all my effort back into planetary construction.

I have five research planets now. four are gas and they're all at least massive and rich. Well, one is extremely massive and extremely abundant but it's my best producer. the other research planet is oceanic and it's V. massive and v rich (also has good arti production)

I have two mining planets that are doing a good job. one is volcanic, the other metallic.

Right now I'm focusing on research planets so much because I get a good arti haul from my legion. Until I can do a good scan blitz I'm not going to worry about snatching up a good arti planet.

dont really need mining planets all that much at your rank, you can easily pick up credits from missions to pay for everything, and the artis that you are getting from the base can help a bit as well.

after you move past rank 19 hunt and kill for all the NPC PvP mods you are able to get, they have the lowest cost for the greatest output at your level. Personal recommendation would be to finish off the quadframes, granted the cypherbots will give you a larger cloak boost, but the hack% you get from them at your level is insignificant at best.

and think about this:
Quadframes get both cloak and scan
scan :
determines how much RP you can steal
protects you from being counter hacked
lets you find easier BT targets
used for scanning planets
aids in getting critical hits in combat

cloak:
gives you the ability to hack
keeps you off of peoples BT
aids in preventing critical hits in combat

and to break it down by module worth :
1 quadframe = size 10, 25 scan, 25 cloak
4 quadframe = size 40, 100 scan, 100 cloak

research mods :
proximity scanner II = size 10 scan 9
EM abosrbant pannels = size 10 cloak 10
Multiwave sensor Mark III = size 40 scan 100
Subspace Jammer III = size 40 cloak 296 <-- about half way through cloak tech tree.

Cloak is really the more useful stat though, to be honest and the Cipher bots are more efficient in that they give the %Hack boost too, which will make getting the quad frames easier. I say get both, but get the Ciphers first.

the % hack only gives a boost to how much you can hack not a success rate, and at his level people are running such little amounts of both scan and claok that the quadframes are a better choice, if he were at later levels say rank 75+ then the cypher bots might be worth going after first.

I decided to get the quad frame first. Now I'm at around 40 blue badges again and I think I'm going to get a cypher bot next. I think I'll just alternate between the two because, to be honest, I kind of feel like they're really cool ship mods.

Scan blitzes are always good, but you might want to wait until you have a few more open planet slots first, so maybe a spot of energy research would help a lot.

Epic... you're doing it the wrong way around... you're doing it the same way I do, but you're still doing it the wrong way around... always have your slots full (theoretically), meaning that if you've nothing to take you should scan - regardless of planet slots.

id personally hold off on researching energy, the relays that you would have access to at your rank arn't going to be worth much and would be just taking up space on your ship.

if you want a break from planets and scanners, research hull or cloak, hull will give you a bit more survivability, where as cloak will keep you off more peoples radars.

I appreciate all the different viewpoints. The more I play this game the more I realize that there's no right or wrong way to play this game, just very different game play styles.

I think I'm going to hold off on the cloak research. I'm more than halfway to a cipher bot so I figure given the size/cloak ratio that'll be my best bet considering I'm a ssb.

There is a wrong way, actually. It's called the "Mining Pure" method.

First you should think what type of ship you want to build, a SSB, MSB, a hacking type of ship, raiding, pvp ship in order to get the best answers possible.

I have an ssb with a lean toward PvP (though I hack on the regular too).

which legion did you say you were in? one of the Infinity alliance?
