Blight of Galaxy legion.

I and others start off in this game rank 1 testing the waters having a good time, npc’s, pvp missions awesome. By rank 100 we realize this game is the best thing on face book, even better than many ps3 games xbox you name GL rocks. We buy are dysions and our exotics, fathers and surges. We play to rank 200 keeping the game going we see many new people come many old people go. We were there for legion bases 1st coming out. We built them up extended them and loved base combat. It was awesome. Then rank 800 comes, missions npcs base batters we have it all and it’s a perfect moment. Rank 1,000 hits. We lose slyll destroyers a 10% scan boost arty. Grixes are gone punishers are gone stellar command centers. In fact nothing new will be gained from this point on. But not all bad. You still have dozens of npc’s a few missions and base battles. Rank 2,000 you lose XPR warp, hyper grid , dark nexus and teles carrier. There is no missions left. Only bases and npcs. It hurts to lose so many. You don’t have much left. Rank 2200. You lose T.o troops you lose havesters. You lose npc’ing.


I say blight cause your rank . It’s blight. It will grow and over 2 years later is will take from you. It will slowly grow and take it all till you have nothing left.

Now what. It cost us over 60 billlion to colonize and over 140 billion to invade we need like 2 maxed out x16 toxics per 1 arty planet to keep up with things. We cant scan to well running low on that rank 1k arty we lost. Now what do you do?

Dan we made GL possible all the time, ideas and money is what made GL such a wonderful game but your taking from us , every thing worth playing for . Im not saying bring back al the npc’s but give us back the t.o’s and harvesters so tha we can enjoy things. Cause those T.O’s that’s what we do as we wait for new contain. I hate to say it but I don’t think people will wait with out them . I think people will walk. And I wonder what the rank 1600’s will do knowing there about to be in that spot. Knowing that the last thing left to do for npc’s will be gone. .
Dan you have , I think by mistake turned our rank in to a blight we have to suffer. I know its will take very little time you can do it tonight as u work on the servers plz change the rank on T.o troops and on blade harvesters to rank 9999 where they should be .

Troop carriers are the best reason to NPC and are a matched NPC, doesn't make sense for them to disappear unless the game is just over.

Don't just change them, tell us. If you have already just let us know so we can continue to NPC in peace. There is no reason to keep it a secret.

Well said, MLP, I sometimes find myself reluctant to rank due to hearing how stagnant the game gets at higher ranks, but I plug ahead hoping that great suggestions like these will improve the game by the time I get to 1k, 2k, and beyond.

Bravo, well said (despite the grammar issues) :D

I am only rank 1193, so I've experienced the loss of some of the NPC's at 600 and 1000. I agree the end of game is in sight if Troop Carriers drop off at 2200.

So far GL has seemed to upgrade at key points along the journey. Some of the forerunners drop out before the new stuff arrives, but it seems we have lost most of them now. Its time for the next phase to keep the devout playing and enjoying.

I know Dan can't just focus on satisfying a few, but the key is the "few" are no longer a minority. We have a lot of ships approaching the very high ranks.

Great idea, no reason why those that have gone where no one has gone should lose these NPCs. I am about only about 1/20 of the way to losing these, but, one day...

Obviously troop carriers and harvesters are the big ones, but npc's are being taken away and being replaced with nothing. There need to be more new npc's as players outrank the old ones.

What you're saying is a good cause, so I give a +1.

Now, I know I'm nowhere near that rank, but IMO I think it's like that on purpose, not by accident. I think Dan's intention with the full stop on good npcs was to say 'I'm not there yet'.

Have you noticed that the newer content is slowly getting tiered more and more to higher ranks and are getting increasingly difficult in terms of what you have to do to finish them? Dan is doing something, it's just that you've gotten way ahead of his pace (albet it is an ungodly slow at times).

I'm not saying it's your fault, not entirely anyway, but I think that this issue is a mixture of Dan underestimating the game's pace and the players overestimating Dan's speed. But again, since more people are approaching that area they need to be given leeway to satisfy them until Dan manages to get the content to that level.


On a side note, might I suggest a reset? It might give you a refreshing playthrough of GL.

I'm curious on to why he did it, im wondering if it was to keep people from becoming to strong. But with the strongest people . between rank 1400-1800 and they have the most AP I think if that was the case it's hiting the wrong people.

Deeeeeeeeefinitely a +1. Just 'cause you rank up doesn't mean you still don't need the drops off of these npc's.

Also, kinda makes people not want to rank past 2000 if these disappear.

Rank 1,000's go by fast. very fast many will be rank 2,000 before they know it. and yes this dose not effect many now but it will soon . Yes im trying to keep the game longer going for me but its for you to, you mid ranks will be where I am soon . When some thing like this comes up even if its just a few people I still wish to fix it so you guys dont have to worrie.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I am a fairly slow ranker specifically for this reason. I am in no hurry to lose the NPCs that make NPCing worth my time.

My suggestion: the highest 3/4 person and 10+ person NPCs from each faction (Xavox/Graxis for the Stryll, DCNs for the Smugglers, Hyperports for the Sha'din, etc) should be extended to 9999 until something bigger and better is released. Good single person NPCs like troop carriers, labpods and harvesters should be extended as well.

While I'm on the topic, invasion costs really need re-worked as well. 10B an invade is no problem. 100B is a bit ridiculous, especially with this new Apparitious ally. High rankers have virtually no chance of ever leveling it up just due to the massive costs involved. I think invasion costs need capped somewhere, or at least reduced. I'll leave the specifics up to the rest of you.

I know I stayed on 600 for a few days. Then the last rank for Graxis about 4 days. Just sniping a last few of all those NPCs before they were gone forever. When you're used to ranking once every 1-2 days, that's kinda slow. I'm trying to go kinda slow as I approach 1k now. Troopers and Harvesters gone at 2200? May as well reset or quit. From my near 1k rank and the rate of new content, I can't see anything for those mega-ranks to do. NPC? For what? No new mods. Minimal planet boosters. Boring point-and-click repeatable missions? Scan runs to find a couple planets worthy of owning but not affordable to colonize? Bland bland and more bland. Once you get that high and everything is gone, I think you can realistically say you beat a neverending game and that's not a good thing.

Agreed. I am also saddened that the newer modules such as Hypervoiders and Terapulsers sell for LESS in CTP than the previous set. That makes no sense to me. None at all. They are stronger, harder to get and worth less ?

While I'm not a fan of higher rank drops = lower scrap rate, it is understandable. By the time you are reliably killing the higher rank elites and bosses, you should be killing slews of Tech Collectors which makes up for it.
