 Planets deleted from system after so many purges.

I suggest that any unoccupied planet has a counter and when that planet has been purged (say 20 times for example) then that planet is removed from the planet database.

Dan has already stated that new planets are added as needed, so there will not be a shortage of planets.

This would eventually increase the quality of planets scanned as those tiny volcanics (and I'm pretty sure I've scanned the same one 3 times!) eventually get purged from the system.

If dan WANTED to improve avg quality, he could just add better planets.
That will also lower % bad planet.

Dan wants us to fight over the good plaents

nah, shouldn't be just a purge. make it an NPC drop - planetary death charge - each use on any planet earns x artifact points (?). 24 hr cooldown timer. counts as a planetary attack.

20 applications to a planet and the planet implodes.

GP arti required to remove one of these death charges.

could be nice to use when you fail on an invasion attempt ;)

If new planets get added as fast as new content, then it is more likely that when said crap planets are removed your good planets are more likely to be scanned. I think this is a bad idea, personally I like my crap planet scan shield as it is now.

Kinda pointless idea - more planets will automatically be spawned and a majority of them would be crap.
