Hello,
Ive got developing RSI in my right hand and the constant clicking required to play this game isnt helping
I know theres a shitstorm over people using auto clickers so heres my idea
When you do a mission, or an NPC that with 1 click, you will finish the mission/Kill the NPC
This would save so much clicking
Look at the recent chain, 15 completions of 40 for the ACF part - or people who rank off of the Purger mission, thats a lot of clicking
Please add this option
[EDIT] Before people start #$&*@ about PVP or bases, this would be for missions, NPC'ing only

Sigh another one of these threads. They always get -1s. Players are already getting enough energy to rank up to whatever rank they want. All they have to do is click. Allow this suggestion and poeple can auto rank way easier. We don't want poeple to auto rank. So bye.

Its for people who have RSI to not be forced to click 20000 times a day (average good npc run) when they could click 1000-2000 times a day People will auto rank however they choose to do it regardless of their stats.

Bean, you're missing the point entirely. I don't *want* to rank fast! At 1080 the only milestones left are:
2,000: Lose virtually all fun NPC's - no more caches, no more Darkmines 2,200: Lose Troop Carriers, and virtually all reason to keep playing the game.
And at that point you're down to like the same five people on your battletab anyway. Even if reducing the clicking would make it easier to level, leveling up fast is a terrible idea - the horribleness of the strategy takes care of the fear of fast leveling - look at Frail - he hit 3,000, saw that life was pointless, and quit. I'm already fully capable of leveling indefinitely, but if I did, I'd be an *idiot.*
But instead, let's turn our attention to the very real consideration of freaking repetitive stress injuries caused from clicking a bajillion times. "It doesn't hurt at all!" the fifteen-year-olds among you say. If I may paraphrase George Carlin "You want to be bald? Do what I did - wait a while!" As someone who grew up playing Starcraft and Diablo, repeated clicking will mess up your hands. I don't go on long NPC runs because it *hurts.* This is an *absolutely unnecessary* part of the game - I can play plenty of other games for much longer because they don't involve constant clicking. Plenty of other games have all sorts of mechanics built in to keep people from leveling too fast and don't injure your hands. " For example, a 'three-shot' option for non-shared NPC's. Fire three shots instead of one, use 15 energy in one click. If someone was just mowing down NPC's on their tab, this would hurt their xp efficiency - you'd very often three-shot something that could have died in one or two shots. Using it on a Flamehawk would waste 10 energy every time. But the Flamehawk would die in three clicks instead of seven. I'd take that deal in a heartbeat. Yes, this means you could kill more NPC's more quickly, but adjusting probabilities could counter that. And honestly, most good NPC's are so darn rare that it might not change much. Since you couldn't use the three-shot on shared NPC's, bases, or PvP, there wouldn't be an unbalanced jumping ahead of someone when taking down a Fab Plant, and there wouldn't be any difference when fighting bases. A change like this would be easier on people ergonomically without unbalancing the game.
And so what if someone can do a three-shot/five-shot when completing missions? Is it really necessary for me to click *80 individual times???* If I spend 3200 energy in 80 clicks or in 16, how does that change the game at all?? "Ha ha, I finished the new mission a full minute sooner! The power!" !It'd be incredibly easy to have a X5 completion button, something that couldn't be clicked if you didn't have the energy for 5 completions at once. (or if you only had 2 completions left)
Making the game less physically punishing has no downside, and would require little effort in order to maintain the present balance.

Toastar's 3-shot and 5-completion ideas I haven't heard before... Quite possible that I just haven't noticed them, but regardless, I like those ideas. -1 to "Auto-complete"/"Use maximum energy available"/etc. +1 to 3-shot. Possibly even reduce exp output from using that method? Using 3-shot reduces gained xp by 20%

this is something for a medical issue. I think at least for people with medical reasons, this should be available so they can still enjoy the game. +1

this should DEFINITELY be an option for missions at the very least. on your own npcs, sure thing as well.

its not about ranking fast...autorankers already rank as much as they want to. Its about getting resources too fast. 1 clicking to kill all npc would double or even triple the amount of resources one could get. If lets say you can get 5 terraformers after 8 hours of npc with option to one click everything you could get 10-15 in the same time
anyways i do hate all the clicking and i think there is a way to fix this and autocliker cheat at the same time... what we need is built in autoclicker with set cap. You pres down attack button and after 1 sec cooldown it starts clicking for you. Dan could set the cap for clicks /s and everyone would be equal...no autoclikers and no million clicks during npc/base
ps: the 1 sec initial cooldown on auto attack could be only for bases since i see it being annoying for missions and such

IF this is seen as necessary, just make it so that it takes 3 seconds in between each 'autoclick'. this would be interruptable by any news alerts.

I'm of two minds on this sort of thing. On one side, yes clicking 70, 80, 100 times on a mission or a hardcore NPC run is a pain in the ass... er hand. On the other hand (see what I did there?), if you normally spend 10 minutes doing various missions or whatnot and can now do them in 2 minutes, that's 8 less minutes most people are going to be online playing the game. Only the diehards like us forumers would be putting those extra minutes to use. Games live and die by the players' activity levels and we already have issues with countless players just logging on for resources. I think a one-click feature would just make it even worse, especially among those that don't have the ability to autorank.

I'd rather have to sit and watch a SLOW auto-clicker than cause injury to my hand. Besides, new music is to be released soon. I already use a PC WAY more that I should. It's become my life. If I wanted to, I could rewire my mouse so that I have a button rather than a "clicker". I could play with my thumbs!

You could just buy any mouse that has side buttons and then just assign key 4/5/6 to left click. Or a simple, and cheap option is to change the assignment of the scroll wheel to left click. While i understand the idea from an RSI standpoint you could easily have people auto rank non stop from it :/

i really dont get the whole autoranking disagreement on this thread... these people can autorank because they have a LOT of energy.. i could autorank for the next 150-200 ranks right now if i wanted to do so... it has NOTHING to do with auto clicking my way through missions. its just going to save me from getting carpal tunnel in my wrist.
