Maybe this has been covered before, and if so... sorry.

Why is it that purchasing base modules doesn't come out of base funds? I believe that sold items go into the base coffers, but I personally foot the bill for new stuff. Doesn't seem like the best way to do things.

Am I the only one who thinks that way?

I believe the reason it takes from the single ship rather than the base because a few modules require extra materials such as ctp or xts-9 and the base can't hold anything but credits. I do wish that adding in base modules would count towards base contribution though.
