I am currently a rank 161 Vygoid Excavator (soon to be Kronyn Excavator). Here are my current stats, and I am planning to freeze rank soon to get more decks, attack, defense, and better planets (Kronyn).
All stats are unbuffed.

It seems you're not much into pvp but I would still recommend that you spend a couple of weeks to get the mark IV dominion cannons after you switch races, they're a very good Att/deck ratio and at your rank they represented around 60% of my attack when I had then for only 68 decks.
The other benefits of getting those is that you can also get one or two protean armouries on the way and that will also boost your combat rep which will make you less likely to get targeted and disabled. And the sooner you get them the easier it is to get those badges.

You also seem to have dumped a lot of rank points into scientists, which is a bit of a waste as they get less and less interesting as you rank. Research will give you less yield the more you progress and between Data optimizers, Kronyn boost and RP/scientists from base shipments you shouldn't put any points into it anymore.

Just my two cents.

I have not spent any rank points in Scientists, those are all from the Kronyn mission chain and Androids. It would take me WAY more than a couple of weeks to get Auto-Blasters. That is one of the reasons I will be freeze ranking as soon as I become Kronyn. I have one Protean.

Okay sorry about the assumption about the scientists, but the advice of not putting anymore is still solid. :p
How about your energy charge rate ? Is it satisfying ? How often do you rank ?

I guess energy recharge is something I could add. I recharge 51/h, or 1 energy every 1 minute 11 seconds.
I rank about once every 2 to 3 days.

The one thing i would say is boost your artifacts p/h to get more prisoners, you need to boost you Tactical officers and engineers, at rank 67 i have more crew in all areas than you.

Also, drop the TO megapulsar and pulsar, as well as the 3 supercomputers, use the space to install the last 2 defence mods, this will boost your defence and help in not getting disabled.

Last 2? You're allowed 8 researched modules. 4 Thrusters, 4 Dampeners.

So I don't really need any more decks at the moment? I have achieved Kronyn, so I will be freeze/very slow ranking for a while. If that is the case, then I will start spending all my points on Tactical Officers and Engineers.

not particularly, try saving ship bots up and only using them for your decks, just use them when you need to. all rank points from leveling and prisoners should go into tactical officers and engineers, up to you how you split it.

Research these technologys
Stellar engineering
Neutronium plating
And Imo if your slow ranking
Tachylon sensors
X manifold sensors
Hyperflux sensors

The neutronium plating should make your ship tougher to kill
the stellar engineering should up all your productions
The sensors should help you find more planets meaning you can find more good planets to colonize increasing production.

I am not actually researching Tachyon Sensors at the moment, but I will be soon. The reason I have so many unused decks is because I am waiting to install another defense module (Quantum Overlay Engine-66 decks). I am ALMOST there. I also have a Mark III Dominion Cannon in my cargo.... I will install that after I get that defense module up and running. Thanks for the advice on what to research! I think I might go up to L1 of Hyperfluxes before I go on my next scan run. I am almost done with Antiproton research. Thanks again!

I like most of the advice so far, but you're getting close to the point to where you need defense to make people think about if they want to spend energy disabling you (Assuming that you'll care about disables). I can still see players at rank 230 and I prey on the glass cannon ships out there with under 2,500 def. ;)

My advice on decks is that you can focus on them (if you choose) to about size 1,500 or so because that still leaves plenty of room for ship bots later. I believe that at your current AP production you'll get next to no ship bots and be able improve your ship more through adding decks for more att/def mods than straight up tac officers or engineers at this point. Though once you hit the goal you set for decks don't you dare cross it, because I went past my 2,000 goal and am now watching my ship bots pile up... :oops:

Advice for freeze ranking is that you need a nice AP and RP production (Kronyn's a nice choice for RP now ya gotta focus on nice AP planets!!) to get to really seeing the results, so I wouldn't worry about freeze ranking until you're content with what you're getting from shipments. And on one final note, a good AP base will help improvement a lot for freezing, so if you're in a good one it can cover whatever you're lacking from planet production.

1. Productions, way too low. Artifact needs to be at least double what it is. Minerals and research could do with a bit of boosting, but overall (compared to artifact), it's fine where it is.
2. Get 4 Dominion cannon Mk IIIs and 3 protean armories as soon as humanly possible, along with auto-blaster upgrades (all on you).
3. Finish +10s as soon as possible, finish Neutronium, finish defenses up to energy nullifiers, finish x-manifold (or hyperflux) sensors, then get your production buildings topped off with +12s (Star Lifting)

Basically, I'm walking blind here, only able to assume what you have online. Get 8 weapons and 5 hulls online. 4 relays, and only cores needed to keep you from overfilling overnight. Get 4 Defenses online. Once you have the dominion cannons and such, remove a defense or two to fit it in if necessary.

I will say that the thread is slightly outdated, and I have since begun work on +12 planetary structures, currently 1/2 the way through the first stage.
