Exigere, Captured Terra Seeker
Image

Stats:
Increase scannable planet limit by 1%* Perhaps 2% as the start value to increase the impact of the ally?
Shield +100

Rank Bonuses:
+2% increase in Exigere, Captured Terra Seeker's stats per additional rank

Unlockable Stats:
Rank 30: Shield Charge +6 (before bonuses)
Rank 60: Defense +100 (before bonuses)
Rank 100: Increases planet cloak by 10% (Fixed, no rank bonus)

Next Rank Requirements:
Colonize an unoccupied Terra planet. Need something better here :)
(Max Rank: 100)

The ally is a medal reward,

You Shall Not Pass:
Disable 200 ships from 'The Terran Outsiders'

* Scannable planet limit increase meaning the amount of planets you can scan for a given scan amount. E.g. if you can have 645 planets on scan with 7671 scan power, then with the ally at Rank 1 you can have 651 planets on scan. I imagine this working by discounting the additional 6 planets from your "planets scanned" number used in the current scanning algorithm, thus bumping up the scan success rate across the scan count (from when you have only a couple hundred on scan and are at "good" all the way to 650 on scan with a rating of "poor").

I like the concept, but I think its too much of a pain to rank, and on the flip side with excess gp it could be ranked fairly quickly.
Finding 100 terras worth colonizing.would take a long long, and the benefit isnt all that amazing.

Yeah, I'm definitely open to feedback on rank up requirements and the stats/bonuses. Thought of this just this morning, so it's a rough concept still. Just realized I forgot to include the rank 100 bonus as well, will add in my idea for that.

Also, I should note that I borrowed the scannable planet limit increase from other previous suggestions.

Ah. Thought the scaning boost was the rank 100.
I'll see if I cant come up with some other rank up conditions.

Stats:
Increase scannable planet limit by 1% what does that even mean?
Shield +100

Rank Bonuses:
+2% increase in Exigere, Captured Terra Seeker's stats per additional rank

Unlockable Stats:
Rank 30: Shield Charge +6 (before bonuses) I am curious to what would do with a 33.52 recharge rate.
Rank 60: Defense +100 (before bonuses)
Rank 100: (Fixed, no rank bonus)

Next Rank Requirements:
Colonize an unoccupied Terra planet. Give me enough credits and legion alerts I can bust this out in a day.
(Max Rank: 100)

Read the footnote :)

If you're still confused, let me know, and I can try to clarify more.

Rounded, same as all the other weird values afforded by percentage bonus items, e.g. Velox Thrusters or Aegis Capacitors.

That's certainly not the typical case, and I don't think the rank up requirements should try to manage crazy edge cases. The rank up requirement is the shakiest part of my suggestion (though I'm open to suggestions on all of it), so a better idea is welcome :).

how about every time you scan a terra planet? granted thats a REALLY easy rank up requriement but it does fit and is alot less of a hassle than colonizing one. The upside to this suggestion is that it is not something that is SUPER easily attainable, downside is high ranks would still be able to do this rather quick, and -> just guessing here <- they really need something to keep them occupied lol

I am hoping for something that's a balance between the difficulty of the Anubix and Bane ranking criteria. I'd like it to be generally achievable but take a while for most players (ignoring the crazy edge cases like LF's scenario above).

LOL, yeah, I've heard they're looking for something :)

It wasn't there when I first began writing :?

While I get what you are trying to do with this, I don't think this is the way to fix it.

Those are not rates though, you can use the decimal place in the calculation for the damage dealt or how much shields are left. Whereas this can't be used. You can't make the timer tick .52 seconds in. I just don't like this stat in general.

It is not too difficult to do even on a slightly smaller scale, but point is there is no way to really limit their ranking. Even my NPC ally idea suffers from it, but make the drop/spawn rate low enough it can be somewhat limiting. This is too easy of a ranking requirement is what I am saying.

If I think of someway to make any of the above better i will suggest it but as of right now I can't think of anything

Au contraire, milliseconds are available in every modern server environment and having an action trigger every 33520ms would be trivial. Also, having it round to 33 or 34 seconds and doing it then would line up with how hull increases are handled with the Kalvium bonus or shield increases with the Aegis bonus. Not sure what about those cases seems so dissimilar to you.

How about to rank it up, you must use a planet increase artifact? Like the plasma/demon/crystal/gaia and so on. I understand most players have used most of them but 2 are repeatable. (plasma/demon)
While this may make it seem impossible, it is a good slow down tactic to rank it.

I am very familiar with them, that is why i am concerned. Have you ever watched you hull/shields as you added brackets/xcharge cells? the amount is not uniform, it rounds each time.
Ie say you have 11576 shields (10k before aegis buffs)
the next 5 cells would be 11582, 11588, 11594, 11599, 11605.

My concern is that it will do the same thing with shield recharge.

so it will be 34, 67, 101, 134, 167, 201, 235 etc. for when your shields recharge, so it is not consistent, I just don't like that. It is not going to ruining the game or anything but with the way allies are set up the end will be just short of 18s extra recharge and it will have these inconsistencies. It just bothers me, not really a reason to not make the ally, I just don't like this particular stat.

Same thing with the scan thing, which is why I don't like it either. It overly complicates the formula imo.
