Looking at Absolutely Nothing's "Oldest planet's" post gave me an idea..

How about for each year that passes u gain an extra 10% in production with the oldest planet u have, now i figure Dan will have to get rid of the ridiculous usage u can use on planets and just make the limit 5 no more to stop people getting 5 year planets with +50% more production. And if the planet was taken it would reset so u won't be getting the extra production others had on it.

no just no.
No why?
well you see when you start adding even more bonuses to the rift planets they can pump out even more PTV.
making the strong stronger and the weak weaker.
So No

Yeah, but who finds a planet worth rifting on their first go? +1 to this idea.

Don't need to. You could find a planet worth rifting tomorrow, and because of the way that the game detects planet ages, you could make any planet 5 years old for the cost of around 9k energy and 1800 ptv's, and have your planet at a 50% gain already.

+1 to this idea if every year give 0.1 % with no limit.

182 625 PVT to get it to 50% or 500 years.

+1 if the bonus is lowered.

U did not read what i said....I said Dan wold have to get rid of the ridiculous PTV usage to allow 5 year planets, and for the limit to be just the 5 days to prevent someone getting planets with +50% production.

lol, and clearly U didn't read your OP.... U don't state the words "rid of the ridiculous PTV usage" anywhere, you can see where you probably meant to mention PTV's, but its not there. :)

If it had been there, i certainly wouldn't have had to make my original reply.

Colony age has nothing to do with the PLANETS age, just so people know. If anything after years of mining the planet of its goods it would actually decline in value, things differ like minerals, artifacts, and research. That's looking at it a bit more realistic I guess, I don't really know how this would work out. Need to go back to the drawing board gets a +0.5 for effort.

True, but by the same token, have having a planet for XXX amount of time, wouldn't you be more likely to find some kind of ancient ruins or some other form of better artifact "digs" increasing artifact value? In the case of many Barrens or Volcanics, i would love to see the mining go down as the minerals are depleted to be replaced with more artifact production.
