A bit too early to tell. 500 hull is not as much as you think. Start working on kills, hacks, and raids (therefore, work on dominion cannons, protean armories, cipherbots). Always put emphasis on artifacts, you can never have enough. Weapons, hull, defense, and planet buildings are the best choices for research, and at this early of a stage, it's up to you.

In general, based on your own understanding of the game, you perform just well. I will further comment based on my experience (each players has own style/goals). 1) with low rank you are very strongly mission oriented, what did speed up your ranking and in PvP battles you oppose stronger players or you are attacked by stronger built ships/players - I can advice you, to forget about missions (unless you need spend a few energy prior rank up) and focus purely on disables, raids, hacks (raids and hacks give no xp = slow rank). I used to battle players, which ranked too fast, they won when I attacked them but due fast rank up, they did not research any great equipment, so was easy to disable them. It is important to see the difference between victory when attacking and disabling other player. This way I got really low xp from PvP and really slow ranked. At rank 90, I had 4 Dominion Cannon - Mark III ready to be installed. 2) Research production 223 is for rank 36 nice, question is, if it is not due 73 scientists and poor planets (9/19) occupied? I have now 66 scientists. The research production is really better to have from good planets. 3) You have 156 engineers = 156 energy max, which is way too much for rank 36. I have now 140 engineers and my max energy is 740. Why? because I prefer efficient usage of most rare item in game - decks. 4) Equipment - I like, that you did fill your decks to 100%. You have 2 Dominion Cannon, what is indeed nice for rank 36. I personally did put a lot to the research of weapons and did save red badges for the top Dom cannons. Each ship can have only 4 Doms, regardless of the Mark/lvl.. thus later you can these two only scrap. For first ranks, it is still manageable to have good equipment from researched modules than from the special ones (badges, medals etc). I always used/installed only the heavy version of researched tier for weapons. This way you save some resources compare to installing first light, medium then heavy version. 5) attack/def ratio Ration 4:1 attack/def is just fine. Later for base attacks/planet invasion you can raise it higher. Higher def than attack is for mission oriented players. 6) hull/shields I do not know, if anyone adviced you to do not use shield for beginning - did right. Keep your focus on hull, till you will not have 5x Fermionic Armor installed. Shields are for mission oriented players in low ranks. You can not so easily recharge shields as fix your hull. Plus depends on production of legion you are in (The Abyss) - in case of mainly artifact production you will get artis to boost the max shield without equipments 7) Decks/ship built efficiency Here you can got several advices.. from small ship built to huge ship built. Currently due lot of rank points invested into crew, you are more small ship built. That grants you a cap for damage from other players, but also limit you, what you can equip on your ship. Per my experience, I did put each rank 4 rank points to decks.. and 1 to TOs or other. Think also about e.g. hull modules installed. For 65 decks you have 450 bonus hull. 4 hardened Durtanium plating would give your for 60 decks 480 hull. If you would focus on raid, you could have after time 3 armorys = 24 decsk, 600 hull points and 22.5% bonus to raid power. The above mentioned Fermionic Armor would only one module give you for 37 decks 785 hull points. It is up to you, to decide which way you build your ship. But it is good, that you asked and can consider so early. 8) Energy module - night I do not see any energy module installed on your ship, I wonder if you do not miss the energy which could recharge during night? Maybe you sleep few. However, I have researched and used energy reactors once I did calculated, how much energy I lost during night. But this again can not be applied for small ship built - lack of decks. More energy stored, more attacks/missions to be done when logged in. Big capacity for energy helps, when you can not play actively each day too. 9) Devices - mission artifacts? (missing cloak) Now this did surprise me a lot. You did over 150 missions, but I see no mission artifact on your ship built. Question is, what missions you did (the ones with modules as rewards?) and whether you did complete them. Or whether the small ship built is not limiting your decks so much, that you can not install them. 10) NPC kils - kill only NPCs which reward you with badges/usefull artefacts. For the beginning, more efficient are rewards for red, yellow and blue badges = PvP battles. 11) You can help yourself also by putting in some cloack devices - e.g. Decryption Quad-Frames or if you finished the missions, Zolazin Jammers - more cloack, less players can see your in their battle tab. Sorry for the long post.. had time and did enjoy it! A lot depends on your base production and your capacity to collect artifacts. Be carefull what planets you colonize... it is hard to get rid of crap planets. EDIT: I know forgot something - use traps, Omicron Mine makes 400 damage (for your rank strong), Krionus... optionally Quantum Firewall... if you do not have any, ask legion members to buy for you some... you can send them other artis or minerals or in great legions, new members receive it as part of help from others (if asked).

Point to Point reply... 1) Due to the fact am a hacker i choose to hack/raid not for experience but for the Cipher Bot and the Protean Armour (which you mention later) 2) Mostly what i get from my planets is research i find that am very low in my research due to people with lower ranks then me having crimson weapons and gravitation shearers because of their research legion hopping. And i think i'll take your advice on that. Thanks. 3) Yes in the last 4-5 ranks I've focused only on decks, and i plan on focusing more on decks in the next 5 levels also (after which i'll increase attack too along with decks) 4) 2 Dom cannon on a rank 36 is very less, I've seen rank 30's with 4 dom cannons (due to rank freezing) 5) Hmm I'll try to match that ratio. 6) At early ranks i noticed that shield and hull go down together (shield isn't any harder to damage than hull is) so i thought maybe screw shield hull gives me more damageable area without being disabled. No one told me that. 7) I plan on building more on decks. 8) I turn a few of my modules offline before going to bed and add in the energy modules which are not included. Also before ranking i install energy reactors. 9) I do missions which i have energy for I don't focus on one mission. I just do it if i know i don't have enough energy to disable an opponent. 10) I used to kill NPC but realized that not many of them give good things, so i started to focus on PVP. 11) Like i said when i put in energy charger modules i also put in jammer to prevent me from coming on to people enemy list. (YOUR EDIT) 12) I use those artifacts. Indeed Very useful and I've noticed less disables day to day on my ship (people are getting scared by them due to their affect.) Thanks for all the comments/advice/criticism/everything. Highly appreciate your time and advice. Thanks, Boyjam2

I have a few things to say about this. 1) No clue what you're saying, assuming it's about PvPing early on, so I'll agree. 2) 226 RP/hr at rank 36 is nothing more than average, not at all "great", but it's a start. 3) Completely false. Engineers/Tactical Officers are a better investment in the long run, because you'll never stop adding them, whereas decks will no longer be necessary once you have artifacts producing ship bots even after you have all the decks you'll ever want. 4) No comment on your comment. Would suggest possibly skipping Mk 2s (going directly from Mk 1s to Mk 3s), however. 5) Attack is of course, a priority, however 4:1 is far too low. A balance such as 4:3+ would be better unless you wish to be running a glass cannon ship. 6) Hull is much more efficient in terms of units of durability per deck, as well as in terms of units of durability per credit (upkeep). Shields are not a real priority, they can be added later on when you begin NPCing heavily, where shield restorers are by far cheaper and more easily obtained than repair nanodrones. 7) All on you, each person takes his/her own path. Maintaining an SSB will require more AP to stay on the "average" level, but presents advantages in: Raids, upkeep (may not always be true), shots to kill. Disadvantages may be: Inability to install 5 sensors to scan for planets, more AP to maintain mediocrity. Decks give a questionable advantage, allowing more tech (which holds most of a low-rank's stats), but also reducing the effectiveness of one's defenses. Either works fine, if it is planned out. 8) I doubt energy recharge is very high at this rank, so with a fair amount of engineers, overfilling may not be a huge issue. Begin to look into reactors (which can be uninstalled in normal times [as you add engineers] and installed during rank-ups), and relays (more energy/hr). 9) Mission modules aren't precisely the best or most efficient out there (excluding percentage increases such as Kalvium Platings). Not having them installed is actually a pretty good idea. Cloak is only of use when you are hacking, and should not be on otherwise. 10) Yes, PvP is better done earlier than later. Noting your comment on NPCing, you cannot simply pick off what you want, you need to chew through the rest of the stuff later on to actually NPC and find the "good stuff." 11) Not really important, low priority (excluding times where you are hacking). Regarding your edit... omicrons are really pesky at low ranks, where it might just disable those that hit it, once you begin to rank up, it's nothing but a scratch. KVT traps will, in many instances, stop an attack (null fuses aren't of real abundance quite yet). QFTs don't stop someone from hacking you, but it does do a relatively good job of annoying the hacker.

We are research now, but we are changing soon. There are a few more if u check the "Legion Recruitment Threads" sticky in the legions section.

Keep the hull. A good goal around your level would be to have enough hull that an attacker needs 20+ hits to kill.

If you're going for a PvP build Slow rank for a while. Go into a Research legion, research everything you will require to maximize your ship at your current rank and further on. Get all Proteons Asap. Put Rank points towards Tacs and Energy as you will gain Helmsmen, deck, scientist through Artifact pulls.
There are much more you can do to perfect your ship but it will take time and lots of it. (Thats if you're going for a PvP build)

I have a few things to say about this. 1) No clue what you're saying, assuming it's about PvPing early on, so I'll agree. 2) 226 RP/hr at rank 36 is nothing more than average, not at all "great", but it's a start. 3) Completely false. Again... Point to Point Reply...
1) ... 2) Exactly what i feel. 3) Yes I've received some shipbots but only added 2 decks so far, not great. 4) I think Mk stands for dom cannon and yes i was told to skip mk 2's and start saving for 3's which i plan on doing. 5) I'll see about it... 6) What am going with... 7) I find my self not have this disadvantage yet of not being able to install sensors as it only makes me make some modules offline for my scanning spree. 8) I plan on researching more into relays/reactors in a while (after a few more weapons research) 9) Well they're worth at least something, so might as well. 10) Right. 11) ... (YOUR EDIT) 12) I use those, if i have them i get them maily from legion mates.
Thanks for your time/comments.
