A lot of people have tons of Ship bots that they can't do anything with because they have all the Ct Lab items that use them and don't need anymore decks.

So, edit to artifact to give you a choice. Ship Bot: When used, given an option to add 2 decks OR 20 Cargo space.

I know we have Tesseract Containers and Mass Storage Pods, but i use most of both of those to make Polychoron Vaults for my planets. And since Ship Bots are suppose to be for ships it would be unpractical to suggest a CT Lab item for a planet structure that requires ship bots. Using them to add 20 cargo can't be OP (that i can think of) and it's better than them collecting dust in the cargo hold.

Option 2: Allow them to be scraped for CTP. 1-2 CTP each would be nice. Think about it, an artifact that adds 2 decks (or 20 cargo) should give CTP when scraped, not credits, since it's a complex artifact.

I don't think that 1-2 CTP each would be OP (even with people that have 1000's of them), it's the same "drop rate" as the CTP from the Rogue Tech Collectors. There are missions that use CTP, Bases require it to upgrade and the price of CTP currently is very high. If anything have more CTP at hand could stabilize the CTP trade rate.

I had a similar thought to this last night, and I think it would work really well. I'm an MSB, and I don't really need more decks. My cargo is lacking (13K at rank 563), so I'd love another way to increase it.

But, then you have the problem with using them all... O_O That is gonna take a long time for the people with 2K+ ship bots.

I'd really opt for option 2. After a while you can't make more polychron vaults as you have them on each of your planets and all those msp and tesseracts start to go nuts on your cargo space. Scrapping for Ctp would be the best.

scrap 1-2 CTPs does not hurt anybody.
Hell, it could be even temporary for events and/or legion contests, where ship-bots would be required to perform missions!

I wouldn't mind seeing BOTH suggestions put into place (kinda why i added both). Decks for people that need decks and CTP for everyone else. Probably my first suggestion that hasn't received a -1 yet, anyone else have feedback? A lot of views, not a lot of replies.

No I do not want them to be two things. That would take way to long when using the. However you guys have to keep in mind there that Dan is coming out with new legion missions. And maybe just maybe there will be a use for things like these in them.

That's true, we should wait til these legion mission's is released 1st.

I got two simple fixes to this issue of ship bots cluttering your cargo one dan makes a daily that uses them or people stop having hoarding syndrome and scrap the artifacts they dont have a use for!

Ya there we go lets juts scarp all the stuff and then when something does come out we are left in the wind again. Great idea there...

Hence why i called it hording its a issue where people will keep hold of junk and useless things thinking "but it might be useful someday" its a medical condition please seek the help of your local doctor.

(edit) but honestly when i think about it the issue with people wanting to keep hold of everything is one of the causes of "no new content" because dan puts out a new mission and all the higher rank players can finish it within a couple hours with all of their back stashed items they refuse to get rid of, just because they didnt know if that artifact or this artifact might be used soon.

I guess but all the same I only 'horde' items because I have the space for it. Its not that I mind having them all in my cargo I just wish there where more uses for it or at least made it so they where worth while getting. I don't need more content for them exactly just something like the CTP idea would work. If I could sell 10 attack/defense probes for 1 CTP it would be well worth while in my book.
