Let me tell you a story:

I want to ask a question about planet fluxes on the forum.

I'm a good little poster, so I go to the search page to check if anyone else has already posted the same question.

I search for "planet flux". A legitimate query, and the best way to see what others have posted, regarding this item.

SORRY! YOUR SEARCH WORDS WERE IGNORED BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO COMMON! TRY AGAIN, MEATBALLHEAD!

Really? Of COURSE they're common. This is a space game. We talk about planets and fluxes.

So now, I'm going to make a new post and ask a question that has very likely been asked many many many many times.

I can understand why you would want to minimize search bandwidth.. but comon. This is ridiculous.

Sure, you maintain low search bandwidth.. but you make up the difference in forum clutter.

We'll look into this. Keep in mind that the forum software was written by a 3rd party of other talented folks, so it may require some investigation.

We've re-indexed the search. Your search terms should work now. If you notice this again, let us know.

Hey, I noticed that words are getting dropped again.

When you first made the change, I tried 'planet flux' as I did before and it didn't ignore either word.

Now, it's ignoring 'planet' again.

If I could search for "planet flux" as a phrase, it'd be a non-issue, but the default radio button (Search for all terms or use query as entered) still breaks up the phrase into its parts for some reason.

One shouldnt have to resort to flimflams ways to search when the forum already have a working search (if they learn how to configure phpBB3).

I can help configure the board if they need somebody to do that. Im sure plenty other people in GL also know how to configure the board and im sure many of them would gladly help out.
