I disagree. Saying that is it too late to get an answer or fix a problem doesn't help anyone. Heck, I realize and accept that I got myself into this situation, but I'm not going to blame myself. I'm going to seek a nice proactive solution. And to begin that I want to give Dan a chance to open the lines of communication. Let him know I'm willing to listen to any suggestions that he might have about the issue. Even if it is to explain why we are out of luck. :P

And while Dan might not check Issue forum posts every week, I plan on keeping the topic on top until I can get a response. I really think it can be resolved in good way.

I'm sickeningly optimistic. :lol:

Hate to break it to you, but many of us have been waiting months and months and months for a response to many inquires, all with no answer other than our being requested to stop asking for him to address the situation.

Simple fact, the players in this game as going to pass rank 2200.

Young players are increasing there rank fast,
If dan loses the bid players, he also loses hes cash flow.

Big players use CTP to buy GP items from other people.
Thats where most of the income come from.

It could be a tactical plot for players to buy terraformers from the GP list and other players.

Regardless, Terraformers need to be added into the game before we are all at rank 2200.

Huh. As someone quite interested in politics, this is a fairly common brushoff tactic. First state a positive change that has already occurred that does not address the issue, state that action for the issue has not been considered yet, then lead into another positive without actually answering the question. So my issue still stands and the answer does not give me a time frame to when action might be taken, a positive or negative reply to the actual question, or anything that would set my mind at ease or assist in my dealing with the issue, I have to say that I would still humbly request a little more than this.

These New high ranks are nice but people aren't going to Npc just to find them, there is only one real reason people Npc at higher ranks and that is terraformers. without them Npcing is useless.


Dan changing the rank range takes 5 mins we don't need a new Npc we just need to keep old one.

If there is a reason this isn't being done please make this public knowledge it's not the difficulty of the task you've raised rank limits before.

More and more people are going to be getting over the 2200 mark these are some of your most loyal players don't screw them over.

Just going to play the devil's advocate for a bit, specifically regarding troop carriers

Have you considered what could happen if T.O. troop carriers had no rank limit?
All upper ranks could potentially go around with all 15x planets, and give them away freely to lower ranks. That means that the rising generations, with the right connections to the right legions, would become vastly stronger, making this game much easier for those players, making mission planets less valuable, and putting a huge gap between players who are lucky enough to get such planets and players who aren't.

There are still ways to boost artifact production from planets (urbanize and crystals, I think), but terraformers seem to be the fastest way to do so. Maybe it's not so great to have such a fast method.

Consider toxics, for example: maxed toxics are now affordable for a lot of players. It wouldn't be that great if artifact worlds became the same way, would it?

Don't get me wrong - I still think high rankers should have some equivalent to the troop carrier (and it's terraformers/QSEs), since you've invested tons of time and possibly money into the game, and should be rewarded for that; however, there should also be something to prevent the prevalence of extremely good worlds from becoming too high in the future

The issue isn't just T.O. Troop Carriers, it's also Stryll Desolators, Blade Harvesters, and Dark Arms Carriers that vanish.

So not only can you not uplift artifact planets, you also cannot efficiently scan for new planets, cannot uplift Toxics to afford massive Invasion costs if you do find a nice new planet during the scan blitz, and lastly, you cannot protect your investment in the invasion with Planet Fluxes (we're talking hundreds of billions of Credits per invasion at that point).

This post is not about debating if rank 2200+ should get these valued drops restored/replaced, it is to let the game developer know there is an issue with them being gone and to seek a resolution, for good or for ill. When a decision is publicly made then debate can begin.

I agree that crippling high rankers' ability to scan for and protect their planets is an issue (re:desolators and dark arms carriers). However, whether or not the disappearance of troop carriers and blade harvesters is an issue could be debatable since again... Possibility of a very high number of maxed worlds. I do understand that it severely hinders your gameplay, and I also understand that getting more good worlds via invasion is unsustainable due to invasion costs. Just pointing out a reason why there could be a limit to the uplifting-type NPCs

And I am pointing out that since it is an active issue which has effects on a growing player base that speculation as to why and why not something is being done does not get anything accomplished or answered. Myself and a number of others are just seeking clarity on the problem directly from the individuals responsible for maintaining and upgrading the game. Your opinions, and the opinions of other players, are important and I would be happy to make a post in the Pub or in Suggestions as to possible solutions which could be discussed and debated. This is just not the place for it, this is the place for getting items on the agenda and cleared up.

just for my understanding, do you seek only for extension of rank limit for NPCs spawn, or you look for addition to game content in general or you would be interested in new challenge within GL?

What I have brought forth was an issue in rank 2200 players losing out on some very valuable drops with no replacements or rank extensions for existing NPCs. What I am looking for is information as to if something will be done.

I am always a fan of additional content and I look forward to the new challenges, like the legion missions, but as a person who NPCs a lot, there is a noticable and drastic reduction in my desire to NPC since losing out on the valuable drops. Going through thousands of NPCs to get an upgrade to a Dark Anti-Beacon is hardly a replacement for a terraformer or a planet flux.
