Please allow us to build 1 per empire. (Thus allowing the construction of a new one in the case of the planet containing is invaded.)
This building IS and should remain our 1 unique building (like a capital).

The problem I see with this is what happens if you were to invade a planet with an omnibase built on it while you already had a planet with one constructed on it? Would you just not be able to use the captured omnibase? Would it be automatically demolished and credited to the original owner?
If it is credited to the original owner, it isn't fair to the person who took it. If it isn't credited to the original owner, what happens if the original owner takes the planet back after having built another omnibase?
Personally, if I take a planet with an omnibase on it, I fully intend to steal the artifact with a mylarai extractor.

It would post you with the option to 'keep' the one you have or establish it in the new location. -- 1 capital per empire built at a time

It should cost like 10000 artifact points to replace and should be worth that amount to the person who captured it.

10000 artifact points isn't much. And if you can build them yourself, that negates one of the mission completion rewards. If you're going to build it, make sure it's on a planet that can defend itself.

I got mine a while ago, and have not built it yet because I don't know what planet to put it on. I am really thinking about putting it on the hyper-Terra planet I made. The attack/defense becomes a little lost, but great resource worth. If I put it elsewhere, it is a good defensive structure, but it can be overcome, invaded, and taken. Unless something is on your ship, it is fair game to be taken.

Save it for your Dyson. It comes with 10,000 passive attack, defense, AND cloak. Plus it still gets your legion bonus, which can add another 100% to all three stats. Then there's the bonuses from the Omnibase and any other attack, defense, or cloaking structures you may decide to build. And don't forget that the Dyson is 28X Mega Rich in all three resources, so the Omnibase can give you a huge resource output. Oh, save a captured Crimson Base for your Dyson too. Hell, keep two Zolazin Analyzers and a Quantum-Hydromeliorator for it as well. And if you really plan ahead, if you use your Dyson Transformer on a Volcanic planet, put a Volcanic Heat Seeker on it first, or if you use it on an Icy planet, put a Permafrost Sub-network on it first. The bonuses will carry over.

I agree with the sentiment of saving it for your Dyson, except that now you might as well put it on the Exotic first, and then just use an Extractor when you get the Dyson. Also, I agree with the Volcanic/Icy planet thing, but that's for the Exotic, not the Dyson, which must be made from a Metallic planet. I did pretty much what you're suggesting, using all the artifact resource structures on my Exotic to maximize the amount of resources it produces.
