 replacement to troop carriers etc for rank 2200+

This is clearly and oversight leftover from the days when a Rank 500 was godly powerful. Just fix it, and then if you really need some other way to drive off your most dedicated, well-paying players, come up with something more permanent.

i'd like to enjoy playing more but every time i do something other than npc means that there is less exp left to get troop carriers etc until they disappear for good.

I don't know what more forum discussions and arguments do to move this issue forward, as the only person able to make a change isn't speaking.

Despite only affecting a very small percentage of people (and most of them knowing this was going to happen), it is a very easy fix. Dan knows it's a complaint, Dan knows how to fix it, and it probably takes 10 seconds. I can only believe that if he wanted to change it, it would have happened already.

We can bark at each other and gripe and complain and whatnot, but there's nothing really left to discuss. The only remaining question is WHY Dan won't change it. We can't answer that for sure. Maybe he's trying to slow things down, maybe he's punishing you for outpacing his grand design, maybe he just doesn't give a damn and that's the way it's going to be.

Either way, pissing matches here between players do nothing. This is a business decision he has made. Not every business decision is popular and customers have ways to be heard outside of forum squabbles. Consider your other options to get the resolution you want.

I think part of why this is getting brought up is that in the past, forum outcry has gotten some results. For example, adjusting the spawn rate of the holiday rare spawns, and lowering the space used by the Litheor probes.

Dan's also very quick to respond to e-mails - I had a planet that was bugged once, and he fixed it within hours.

So people have seen that discussion can (but doesn't always) produce a response. The total silence on this issue is rather baffling. A lot of us would probably shut up about it if he'd give some sort of reply, even if we didn't like what he said.

No argument there. One on one, Dan is very responsive. My larger points here are that his public silence speaks loudly and that us speaking loudly at each other is now pointless.

As you may know troop carriers do not spawn at this point meaning the game becomes more GP heavy taking out the fun of having npcs cater to your every need. It has been brought to my attention by LeonP of the Honey Badgers that a new type of troop carrier and many more types of NPC's can be introduced as to not lose players such as Namalak, who to my knowledge will quit if Dan does not solve this problem before a certain date. I shall quote Leon for his idea to be here for all to see. "Sucks to see Namalak and a bunch of others leaving over something so easy to fix. Hopefully Dan will make the T.O. Troop Carrier appear to people above lvl 2200, or maybe create an T.O. Elite Troop Carrier, that's more difficult to kill but maybe has a slightly higher chance to drop quasis.
Rewards: Quasi-Spacial Expander, Terraforming Device (Estimated drop 10%/90%)"
Is this so hard to make a reality? We could use many more elites, missions, and npc's to give higher ranks a reason to continue to play this game...it has been 3 years afterall so its only expected that they will run out of things to do before they just up and quit...lets make this a reality guys...and remember its just a small rank 380 of Earth's Militant Minds that wishes for a small change that would have a huge impact on the higher players of the game...rather than have them fear ranking past 2200 because it shouldn't be that way. :(

I agree. LOL, of course I agree with something I said. Make an elite tougher version, or make troop carriers show up to lvl 9999 just like the fab plants and the queens?
Dan, please do that. You'll make those 2200+ level folks happy, AND you'll make the rest of us look forward to gaining levels instead of dreading it. ;)

Hope this idea gains some support

You know I thought it had been too long since I read one of these. Thanks.

Perhaps we should try a new tactic though since Dan is not even responding. Let's try reverse psychology on him.

Dan remove all the new NPCs, lower the fab and queen cap back to 1k actually, just remove all NPCs entirely. In fact just remove the battle tab, no more base fights, no more multi raiding/hacking. We can all just collect our resources and come on to do the purger mission once a week.

I think that this is a great idea but maybe have a 3 person elite which drops a requencer which u can chose what to upgrade ex. Arti, min, and res and have the elite have a slight chance at dropping qse because Dan is losing valuable people who buy alot of go and have been loyal to galaxy legion from practically the beginning he has to compensate for them somehow before he loses all high ranks

Shhh, Fluffy, you're giving him ideas! He's already racking his brain right now figuring out what to take away once people hit level 3000! Right now 'the right side of the screen' is in the lead - try and collect artifacts NOW, suckers! But we won't know for sure until white smoke starts pouring out of the Vatican's chimney.

so far all this game has taught me,

1. stay as low ranked as poss in a high output legion whilst getting all the badges needed for all the badge mods and upgrades you think you'll ever need and then a load on top just incase.
2. go drannik or konqual to have better attack to get less hits needed to kill npcs for as fewer hits as poss, even if it means debuffing them to get a few more per rank, do this to npc to rank 2200 with as little scan as you need to get the nocs you really need in order to stand a better chance of farming troop carriers.
3. upgrade etc as many planets as you can do whilst doing your best to keep them hidden / safe.

4. now you've hit rank 2200 pvp, kill bases, do missions that you managed to resist doing and only npc for ctp / loot you need.


if you didn't do 1, 2 and 3 1st then.......erm...... cross fingers and hope dan makes some changes for the better that helps those there already as well as you when you get there.

what I fail to understand is WHY he WON'T respond to ANY of these threads about the 2.2k+ NPCs....?

He won't even reply to PM's on the matter, even when its pointed out that his indirectly refusing to reply to these matters, has caused a player to quit the game.

personnaly i would love to see the game more focused on scanning for new planets, crit hacking system, maybe aslo trading planets(which i heard dan is against)....

and give the opposing players a more easy time at probing planets, when you earn 500+ planets its just take a lifetime to probe all of them... maybe a brand new system that give you a list of ALL your planets depending on your ship scanning ability, would of course cost some energy....

What i find unfair is that top player will inevitably loose the planet they BUILT and they can not build new ones.....still they can take any planet they feel like but at a rate of ONE per 24hours....so it limit a player to 4 rank per 24hours starting rank 2200 ....
