I started to take this game seriously at bout rank 150. my ship was bluntly crap at that point- i rank usually once a day so this has been a very long ride- i am two months short of three years. I could be bigger and stronger as a ship if i had concentrated early and learnt how to get ahead in game- but cest la vie

You will notice i always strived to keep a balanced ship- cloak and scan are more important than you might think

I also owe thanks to a nameless legion of slow rankers who handed me my ship as a pile of cinders time and time again at around 150 on- they really helped me focus on what i needed - by the time i hit 250 i could stand off 5 of them at once and kill them at will

All stats unbuffed (except for perma buffs and later with trellith influence in place). Energy is with relays and guns off- max value

Some useful data for guys planning their ships- by the time the mineral formula gets to its richest around 450- your income if all minerals collected will be 1 billion per day per 1000 mining per hour

For ap- once again only if all collected- you will get one artifact per day of each type for each 4k ap per hour- this is averaged data over a long period of time and does not count for msp's- they drop out and 20k pull and this skews their drop rate significantly. There will be days when rescued prisoners are constantly clamouring for release- and others when the clank of chains is unheard- it all evens out over the course of a month

For research- don't sweat it- it will all come in time- as your ap goes up your need for that shiny research world drops so take the terra instead even if it is average mega rich and just put no defence on it- you don't need many research planets in the long run

But back to the headline, very much agreed. Don't reset your ship because you allocated stats badly - you can always even out imbalances, and you'll get way more rank points from Rescued Prisoners later than you ever will from ranking. Even if you're hundreds of levels in, you can easily make your ship very goood without resetting.

thought about using this for the ship log showdown, but without dates and decks, there is no way for others to learn HOW to improve their ships.

on the other chart though, you did pull up the average arti per rank and all resource per rank averages by over a point each.

My focus changed several times throughout the journey- and alas i kept no dates. I ranked slower at the start due to very poor energy set up- for the last 400 ranks will have been once a day with the odd auto rank

Artifact points would be the one thing i would emphasise as essential- as you can see from table- the higher they grow the faster they grow- as you boost firepower- those planets you just could not take become easy targets- and growing the total accelerates you getting free planet purgers to scan again

At the moment i easily get 400-500 a month- which means i am never short of targets to conquer- and if i use every boost i have access to i can hit 85k ish invasion attack

I picked up a guy who'd been in a solo legion for over two years, his SS was about 2k at the time, at rank 230. A year later he's pulling close to 25k at rank 594, time can heal all wounds
