Over the corse of my nearly 3 years of playing GL , i have only been in 3 legions, the 3rd being the one i plan on calling home for the duration of my GL life ; The Unknown.Throughout my 3 years i have seen many players be banned from varied legions for various reasons ; some cheated, some lied, and some were just dirty players.I have also seen the introduction of many new ways these folks can hide and rejoin a legion they have screwed over in one way or another , the name change being the most effective. I think a search engine should be created that allows players to search for individual players in the game....the search engine should show a players name during the course of his/her play time , should show thier legion history , and rank. The search engine should not permit contact through messageing or combat of any type(unless permitted by both parties).
for instance.....i will use myself as an example...... Name(s) Gloval(aka Kakarot)
Legion(s) Vermillion Squadron , Guns and Roses , The Unknown
Rank Permission for mutual communications 1138 Yes No
I just think this would be a good way to keep track of folks who have wronged legions in one way or another and would likely contribute to a safer and more joyful gameing experiance for all. Thanks for your time in reviewing this idea.

Being able to see our individualized game identifier numbers could solve this issue as well...
On War of Creation I'm Yung but my game id number shows as well.
Yung (48) : I am Yung.
I can change my name all I want but...
xDarth_Dexterx (48) : I... Icarium (48) : Am... BenRh (48) : Still... Shockwave13 (48) : Identified... Mento (48) : By... Annabelle (48) : My... Webguydan (48) : Game... Zomb1e (48) : ID... SuicidE (48) : Number...
Just a thought...

That was how certain people could hack the system at one time and target anyone they wanted as long as they knew the FB account. Probably not a good idea to pass around FB account numbers...

Not only is it a little insecure to pass them around, it's also gonna be messy. FBIDs can be pretty long.

As long as two things come with it:
1) You cannot attack the player. 2) A player can have a settings option to not be in the search engine.

A personal search engine would make Flux Probe - Tracer a much more useful CT-Lab item.

+1. I think its a good idea. And it doesn't have to be one's FB ID. It can just be an ID generated by Dan. The ID itself isn't even necessary to be revealed. For example, on sites like eBay, you can see someone's ID as well as a list of all their old IDs if they've changed.

Preliator Xzien , that part about opting out of the search engine totally defeats the purpose of the search engine....its to protect players and legions from folks who have cheated in some way or wronged a legion or other player in some way...to be capable of tracking someone who has scammed a trade or some other similar circumstance...i already said that the players should not be permitted to be attacked and should only be able to be communicated with if both parties agree to the communication.
