 Quick Suggestion .. Mercenarys Call

Even though no one knows what it does yet .. we are theorizing that after seeing the ability from cybernetic link .. that the mercenaries call is perhaps a +2 TO per 20 hours as it keeps in the spirit of recently released mods. I can say that from my view point as well as talking to others.. if this is indeed the ability a lot of people are going to feel this is way underpowered.. As the alternative is 30 omniforges or so putting them on your top 30 planets will EASILY net me one additional rescued prisoner per day and won't cost me 6 billion credits to boot. Alot of people are going to feel quite cheated of MONTHS of attempting to get the badges to unlock this ability if it is something as underpowered as this.

And again .. this may not be the case .. just figured I would jump the gun and get ahead of the blow up of complaints when the first person finally unlocks level 100..

I think it may be an ability of some sort that allows you to alert both a planet and player without waiting on a cooldown :)

I think it's a great idea to complain about thing that may not happen, just to be ahead of everyone...

Hence the reason it was a suggestion for something not to happen to avoid future complaints..

Not sure what you mean by entity. But if you mean planetary blockages what would be cool. Upper ranks almost never ever see them any more. Having a way to randomly spawn one would be a good offset to the loss of them.

Sticking with the idea of a Mercenarys Call..

24 Hour Cool Down
Summons a Random Matched Level Mercenary (ship ally) which will provide a ship buff for 30 minutes. Each Ally comes with its own Activated Ability.

Druelgar Drannik Smuggler
Att Level*6
Def Level*3
Activated ability Purchase a tribute cache (4 hours resources) for 200M Credits

Elenia Genetaar Pirate
Att Level*1
Base Attack Level*3
Def Level*3
Shields 100%Boost
Activated Ability - Will install Fuser Relay Permanantly increases Shields by 75 and Hull by 50 for 200 Million Credits

Kerrik Konqul Ex-Crimson
Att Level*5
Def Level*5
PVP bonus Attack Level*5
Recruit TO's - Boost TO by +10 in exchage for 10 Politicaly Favor and 100M Credits

Srak'thor - Lazuli Rebel

Medals - Obviously Recruit each mercenary at least once..

I like the concept of temp ally, thou my idea is like this:
when you use the ability, you are given a text box which you can enter any amount of CR(above some minimal amount). Based on the amount entered, a number of allies are randomly generated. The higher the amount, the more ally generated AND the stronger the allies might be(note that it only affect the maximal possible strength, there could still be weak alles generated no matter how much you enter)
you can then select any and all allies you want to hire, at least one must be selected. For each ally selected, you have to pay the CR amount you entered, regardless of the strength of the specific ally.
You then get to keep the selected allies for some amount of time. The time might even vary for different allies.

Some allies might provide just some basic stats(thou it could include hack/raid etc non-basic stats), others might provide abilities. Those that provide abilities could either be a one-use-per-hire and then become basic ally, provide no basic stat and disappear once used OR have a payment per use ability.

that's for Dan to keep in mind, because the power of the temp allies can be easily adjusted. Both the basic stat they carry AND whatever their ability might be. some might carrying abilities similar to bio vap, planet flux etc(and that's only because extra CCM and paradox uses would be strongly opposed) and others could provide anywhere from 1 to 20% attack. So my idea doesn't have a definite amount of power associated with it because the tep allies can vary a heck lot.

my personal theory, which does tend to go inline with A) the cost in upkeep of the thing, and B) the theme of the ability's title, it either 1) provides 1 free invasion every x hours ( doubtful ) or 2) provides an invasion at reduced cost ever x hours ( more likely )

as this also helps with the 3 year ally for those higher ups experiencing the bitter taste of hefty colonization / invasion costs

I like the Idea of temporary allies too.


But if I'd suggest, I'd say add 10 T.O. with 20hours cooldown, also make it a passive ability as well....add 10 T.Os on its own every 20hours.

Or maybe make it a scaled ability that starts at rank 1 and passively adds 4 T.Os each 20hours (scale with ally rank)
