Here are some of the things I am looking for:

* Willing to log in frequently
* Answer questions for beginners and other posters
* Some experience with moderation a plus (especially merging topics and posts)
* Enforce forum rules when necessary

Although there are many nominations, it would be easier to know which members are actually interested in taking on the role, and we can go from there.

* Answer questions for beginners and other posters --Unless beaten to the punch by one of the many other helpful forum-users. No need to repeat answers like so many others do...
* Some experience with moderation a plus (especially merging topics and posts) --Handle Admin/Mod duties as necessary on TU's nearly identical forum
* Enforce forum rules when necessary --Ban-saber anyone?

"I know Dan is pissed off with me right now but since I have been nominated I'll go for it. I am willing to moderate the forum unbiased and fair. I also know that coming from me people are bound to laugh at that prospect but when given a job I commit to it and I will commit to the role if given the chance.

I am online nearly everyday and visit most threads at some point. I still have much to learn about the game but I think I know enough to answer most questions as well. Also, I do know the forum rules (even if Dan knows which ones I don't particularly follow to the letter) and will keep them in mind when moderating.

Lastly, I do have experience moderating forums. Although the forum I've moderated wasn't nearly as active as GL's, I've learned alot of how forums worked and have done experimenting with what can and cannot be done with them.

Again, I know Dan is probably rather peeved with me right now but I'm willing to forgive and forget these past couple weeks if he is too. Clean slate and make a new impression, if he allows it.

And of course my only condition is that I am unbanned.
my time zone is Eastern Standard Time. though I'm usually active from 6:00AM to 11:00PM

I second this. just have a translator nearby incase you end up banning someone and they don'y understand your explanation of why.

I would nominate Namalak. He's retiring and this may be an interesting change of pace for him to still be involved with the game and community without completely leaving it, that is if he's interested. Namalak has been very unbiased and cool headed during various inter-galaxy feuds in his opinions. I think he would be a capable moderator.
