AGUTE: A Galactic Update to Everything
This is Part 1 of a series of updates I'm am writing in hopes of incorporating many different part of galaxy which adds both content, fun and creativity into all. Some of the ideas in these will be inter-related to other sections of these.
Right now we have legion missions that all the legion has to participate in to be able to get legion badges. They are fun but they are still sort of stand alone only benefiting a single player.
How about if during a mission chain, during one of the chapters, there is a legion mission that say 40 people need to complete over the that two week chapter that effects the base.
Example, during Chapter 2 of the Alarri chapter, 40 members of the legion could complete a legion version of this mission. When the mission was completed, it would attach a permanent 4% trade intelligence for the base.
As these missions are mission chain dependent, they would be a one time, only available during that chain. I wouldn't give them a fail chance but if you don't do them when they come out, you don't have the opportunity to get them again.
Think of it as a loyalty and longevity bonus for your legion. The longer you play the game, the better your base is getting. I would say some should be attack, defense, ability, production, etc for the base.
Right now, all bases are about the same. This would add a little diversity to them (not much I realize). Why shouldn't (in game evolutionary terms) a 3 year old base that is level 8 be slightly different than one that is 3 months old?
Maybe after a year Dan could add the buff to be purchasable in the GP market. So current active legions, with enough loyal members and extra energy, could earn the "Trade Intelligence" doing the legion chapter mission. A year later, some newer legion who couldn't do it for whatever reason, the first time around could buy the buff for GP.
I would go further to say that some of these buffs should evolve based on your legions longevity and level. So say you acquire the Trade Intelligence, it might work like this:
Base Level * Legion Age (rounded down in years) * 0.25 = % buff
Level 7 base * 2 Year old Legion * 0.25 = 3.5% buff Level 7 base * 3 Year old Legion * 0.25 = 5.25% buff Level 8 base * 2 Year old Legion * 0.25 = 4% buff Level 8 base * 3 Year old Legion * 0.25 = 6% buff
If you level your base up or the age of your legion goes up, the buff would go up with it.

i think anything like this that benefits the base when everyone can be kicked out of a legion on a whim, is foolhardy and premature.
however, if the legion governance gets implemented properly, then i would support something like this.
