So level 2 bases are scannable now?

 Please delete this if this known. I didn't see anything recently about it and I always assumed only level 3+ could be scanned.

It's been a while, but I have seen, and participated in, a base battle against a Level 2 base. Probably sometime last year.
The wiki has info on the damage caps and number of silvers available from level 2's, so my guess you've always been able to scan them. I think there is a restriction on what level base you can scan depending on the level of your base, eg lvl6 base can only scan lvl4 and above (note this is an example, don't know the exact numbers) _________________  |

The minimum scannable base level has always been 2.

It's a common misconception, because level 5 bases are kind of the minimum and 5s can't scan 2s...

For clarification, I was under the impression that you could not scan a base 3 levels lower than your own?
For example, level 7 bases can only scan level 4 and above, level and level 8 bases can only scan level 5's and above. However, with a level 8 base I just scanned Tiger Pit, a level 4 base owned by Tiger Empire. One of the major reasons we pushed to get a level 8 base was to prevent that happening  This is not a complaint - this is just confusion on my part. I was in a level 5 base when I scanned the level 2.
