 Problem about CTP

I think everyone will agree with me that there is not enough CTP flowing in the game for sure. i do think that Dan should maybe have an artifact made so you could place on the base and it would produce CTP or make a planet that would be only for CTP and all ranks could have an equal chance of owning 1 or more.

what do you think and what suggestions you have to increase the production of CTP?

More CTP would just mean that one can raise his/her base level quickly, and get the missions that use CTP done more quickly.
More CTP = inflation = stuff costs more, and thus trading stays the same.

If more CTP DID flow into the game, then base levelling resources and mission resources should also be adjusted to reflect the increased flow.

Like f3ar3dlegend said, the point is that CTP is a rare commodity and a widely sought currency. Trade your artifacts for CTP in the trading groups/forums, or NPC. You'll start building up a nice pool once you get into heavy NPCing

im a rank 168 and i never have CTP on me i have to buy it from trading center for way to much

You're still considered low ranked, and you won't be generating much CTP until you are killing thousands of NPCs.

Even if you get more CTP, it won't change its value.

Currently, the price of a 17x MR Artifact M Gaia is ~20K CTP.

Increase the flow of CTP by 900% (10x current amount), and you get the Gaia 10 times more quickly, correct?

Wrong. The Gaia's price would increase to ~200K CTP, as would every other commodity.

CTP's valuation depends on other commodities (such as artifacts and planets). In the Galaxy Legion market (as with nearly all (real life and virtual) economic institutions), commodities' prices are relative to each other. Also, they are scaled based off of their availability and use (i.e how much flows in, how much it is needed, and how it is used). If the price of one commodity rises, and it is the main form of currency, all commodities that are based upon said commodity rise as well.

Real life example: During the Great Depression and World War II, the German government tried to fix the German economy by printing a lot more money (increasing monetary flow). However, this does not fix anything, because in a global economy, all of the other prices are stable and thus each German Mark (Mark = German currency) is valued as a part of the total country's value, which is relative to the other countries' values. After printing so much money, the Germans could not simply buy more stuff. Instead, the German Mark dropped in value (1 US Dollar was worth 4 TRILLION German Marks), and thus they used more money per normal commodity.

In Galaxy Legion, if more CTP was introduced, you would spend more CTP because the value of CTP decreases.

Summation: More CTP --> Less Value of CTP --> Pay more for each item --> Same as before, just with extreme inflation

No offense, but if you understood economics, you wouldn't ask for an increase in the flow of CTP because you'd know it would cause inflation.

Unless he was talking about using it for leveling up a Base or doing missions, as you mentioned previously.

First, let me be clear that I don't support the suggestion because all it will do will upset the economy.

However, I have to say that an x% increase in CTP will NOT cause a 1/(1+x%) drop in CTP value.
Different from aforementioned German Mark, which is a currency of complete arbitrary value, CTP holds consumption value(well, at least in the game). That said, it will behave differently than legal tender that, aside from its defined value, hold no actual value (that is to say a 100 dollar bill is nothing more than a piece of paper if there is no trade value assigned to it by law. Whereas the ancient currency of salt and spice will hold value and behave differently than those pieces of paper when supply is increased.)
In case of a small increase in supply of CTP, the drop in value would be smaller than arbitrary currency. That is to say a 100% increase might only drop its value(and thus an inflation of) ~20% or something like that. Because due to the decrease in value, there will be an increasing willingness to spend it in a consumption way thus negating, to some extend, the increased flow of the currency.
In case of a large increase in supply of CTP, however, will cause a BIGGER drop in value compared to arbitrary currency. Because there is a finite amount of CTP that can be useful. If the CTP demand for practical use is met and gone, CTP would effectively become the most arbitrary and useless item in the game and might drop below the price of EM, even if its supply is lower than EM(because EM have a bigger and endless demand)

Ofc, between the two extremes, there will be a case where the increase in flow ratio and decrease in value ratio are equal to some arbtrary currency, but it would not be linear.

How is CTP not arbitrary? It has value because we choose it to have value.

I think that the reason he said it has inherent value is because, unlike dollar bills and other forms of currency, it has uses in and of itself. As an example, say you used oranges as a currency. They would have inherent value because they could still be used for something even if it failed as a currency. It is the same way with CTP. You can use it for other things in the game besides trading, thus it has value outside of existing as a currency. Make sense?

You can also use money for other uses, because it's made out of paper and thus it can be used for anything else that paper can be used for. But yeah, I get his point that they have a "defined" use that is other than solely as currency.
