Been three years since I went through this, so I forget what Day 1 looked like. Two suggestions for starting the game. First, if it's not already there, please add a specific statement regarding multi accounts. Even if there is a reference to reading the TOS, no one does, and a specific statement will likely reduce multis. Won't stop the intentional cheaters, but I'm sure a lot of multis are just due to unhappiness, not intent to fraud.

Would also be nice if players started off with a nice planet. A homeworld perhaps, immune to scan and invasion. Make it gigantic and MR all around, but production rate can't be enhanced further. This will give players two things: A decent jumping off point to start the game with some useful production and more importantly, a better idea of what a quality planet looks like by comparison to all the garbage their first scans provide. We've all done it... lowbie jumps on first planet because "average" looks good, it's actually awful, production stinks, player gets bored and player leaves.

Doesn't seem like people have an issue coming to the game, but I'm thinking of ways to keep them here and educate them a bit until they get their feet under them. Tweak away.

I've wondered about that to, perhaps lowering the timer of a rest would do it? course then multis who's only job is to do a scan blitz could then exploit that :?

Actually a planet type based on race might not be to bad, give a common starting ground. But to be fair it should be the same size / richness as each other starting planet.

Been suggested before, like the Idea, but not sure what the overall concensus was that was a while ago.

Ostentatious and unrealistic as far as planets your likely to find will go, and may induce a higher expectation standard, thus causing people to give up when not finding any planets that meet those requirements from the start.

Not I, I got the dumbest of luck my low levels in terms of planet scans, my first ever scanned planet, I still have, and is the only planet I guard.
