This post is fairly self-explanatory. I'm suggesting that there be a confirm button added to the GTC when you place a bid or that there be a short window (say 1min or less) for you to cancel a bid should you change you mind or bid on something you didn't meant to. Either option would reduce the number of stupid auctions in the GTC like 5 CTP for 500B creds and would also mean that if you accidental click on bid you don't loose a stupidly large amount of money for nothing.

P.S.
Yes this post is the result of me accidentally bidding on a stack of CTP for 500B (I mis-read it as 50B)

P.P.S.
Please don't just say read bids more carefully we had the confirm button added to Tri-Matrixes because people were sick of accidentally using them

Read bids more carefully, after all there's no confirm button on Energy Cubes either, despite constant requests asking for there to be one.

Plus you do kinda have to misread it twice, once on the listing itself and again when you go to click the bid button, the price is listed in its entirety.

The ability to cancel bids for a refund would be nice.

respectfully i gotta suggest this go on a "to do" list, down towards the bottom. I have no problem with the concept, its just there are more worthwhile things we are awaiting for. In the meantime, reading will continue to be fundamental.

Most people don't actually bid 500B for 5 CTP. Instead, the seller is a noob who thinks it will actually sell and starts it off at 500B.

What the heck is confirmation going to do for you? if you read it wrong once when you looked at it, what makes you think you'll get it right on a little pop up? confirmation is useful when it's a matter of mis-click(as there are clusters of buttons sometime), it won't really do anything for you if it was a misread. If you would actually bother to read the confirmation text, chances are you won't make the mistake in the first place.

For similar reasons, cancel is unlikely to be very useful if it was very short time allowed. I for one would probably only notice a mistake if I happen to look at my remaining CR balance and notice a huge change. And if it was longer it might be open to abuse.

Overall, there is no particular harm to confirmation and a very short time allowed for cancel(with certain safeguards). It would be extra hassle for players and some workload for Dan for very little benefit thou. It's one of those "Dan have better things to do with his time" thing. So I'm gonna -0.5

+1 to the confirm, definitely -1 to the cancel. You just might see an auction for 1000 CTP you really want...But then you think you might get outbid! So you bid all your money, and cancel last moment, and win the auction at a low price. Fair? I don't think so.
