hey guys as most will now know theirs a few more goodies in the badginges market but as iv'e blown all my reds on the scanning of bases i decided to go on a massive pvp mission today 250 red kills later i start getting notifications that i disabled them a few hours back i guess the game only has so many players but wondered how it possible. i thought they removed the player for 12 hours

It put them at the end of the cycle of players you can see. Once you cycle through all your possible targets, the ones you disabled and are repaired are put back on the cycle. The higher in level you are, the less targets you have so the shorter your cycle through time is.

My cycle time is about 45-50 mins now a 2-3 hour pvp run can see the same player appear 4-5 times.

well at rank 628 i have thought iv'e seen a few ships before but doubted myself and continued, but 4 people can't be wrong so thought i'd quiz it

so is this an alertable offence or do i have to jot down every single ship and cross reference each disable if so it's a bit mad, im hoping to kill at least 100 aday till i get the dom upgraded again

Once you get back around you'll notice that you don't get any red badges anymore. Pop some scan artifacts and start again with a new list.

You will generally get alerted for it yes.

bugger no wonder it took me so long to get em put my 2nd dom upgrade on feels nice but serious killing to be done to get them 3 more and im done again

Hey alissonnpaul, I laughed when I saw all your comm traffic... figured you must be making a run at the red upgrades or 1000 actions
I know a lot of the PvP elite frown upon "wasting" the 5 nrg to comm, but I always try to, just to avoid losing badges.
If it makes them feel a bit better, that's good too, but mainly it just makes it easy for me. Happy hunting

I'm rank 387 and I had someone repair and come back onto my BT after 20 minutes this morning!! (I leave a comm, so that's how I knew) I was running a fairly low scan, but I noticed several ships I had bumped coming back too?? Scan was in the 200's but I would have thought at my rank there was plenty of ships available??

regarding 'plenty of ships available', i think there is something in the bt algorithm that tracks your legion strengtth and adjusts your bt targets accordingly. there are some legions that i ALWAYS see, sometimes with multiple members in a row, while other legions (sometimes thankfully) rarely ever show up.

i think the bt RNG must play favourites sometimes ... 'you previously tapped this enemy ship ... would you like to tap it again ??'

i adjust my scan regularly when that happens (can still drop below 50 since i don't have sehrin yet) but sometimes the bt just won't co-operate and i have to do other things for a bit.

I gotta disagree with this.
I tested it out when I was much smaller and would change legions quite frequently.
In a top 10 legion saw mostly top 10 legions
In a legion 40-50 on the board for a few weeks, still saw top 10 legions.
In a legion no where close to the leader board for a week, still saw top 10 legions.

i still have a feeling that there is some combination of your ship strength and legion strength affecting the bt pool you draw from. you may not have seen it if your ship strength completely overwhelms the variation due to legion strength.

when i went from leading WTF (12 members max) to being a member of AU (35 members), i got a different group of bt targets. then, when i went to visit The Dark Justice (56 members) to pick up anubix, they had more members than AU and again, i got a different set of bt targets, some of whom i had NEVER seen before (despite raiding profusely). when i was out of legion, i got yet another set of bt targets.

so, besides changing your ship SCAN, i would also suggest changing your ship STRENGTH to shake up your bt if you find it repeating.

I always seem to get people in waves. I'll get the same set of people for a week, then the next week another set, next week some of the original set is back, etc. Might just be people putting on cloak if they get hit a lot then dropping it after they don't get hit alot though.

well i went 50 mins on pvp fully buffed lucky for me i still have a tevrazon tank or 2 left so this helps a lot on repairs as soon as i start getting repats comming me im stopping no point in double disabling and not getting the 2nd red, it kind of defeats the objective.

ps: on behalf of the dark side and myself we do apologise if mass assault on the bt has caused your ship multiple disables but we aim no malice at you or your team we simply need to stay above the pack we want those guns.

I looking at about 50-60 kills a day now to avoid repeats until i get the 2nd 3rd and 4rth in place
